That link isn't working for me. *edit* Copy / Pasted it and it worked.
The Colbert Report is one of my larger cash cows. He comes to DC once a month like clockwork to do his interviews down at the capitol. I have to say I expected him to be a lot funnier in person, thankfully he doesn't do improv :) His writing staff is pretty dynamite though and I'm surprised the manage to get some of the interviews we've gotten.
I don't watch it too much though because its on pretty late. How does it score on the ratings?
Now back on topic, the video was pretty on target but nothing we haven't heard before. A few members of the forums will dismiss it as liberal babble without ever actually listening to what he has to say, and the impact will be next to nill. Despite everything, Bush's approval rating is still hovering around 35% ... where does this 35% of the population live, I thought all the caves were occupied by bears and terrorists.

Colbert did a lot of improv in his earlier days.
And yes, he does keep getting better and better.

Does he really? The very first time I met him he opened with a fart joke ... we didn't know if we should laugh or feel bad for him. Rich and Allison, the producers who travel with him, however are really on top of things and pretty damn hilarious. I think one of them actually wrote for my favorite show in the whole world too ... Ali G.
I still think Colbert's best role was in Strangers with Candy. I :heart that show so much.
