I have read a lot of the hubbub and was wondering what everyone else thinks about it.

Besides making sure all of my Windows Updates are in place and I have run my virus checker, what other precautions can I take?

No since in taking any risks, ya know! Someone in 1 of my IT meetings said this was the h4k0rz way if stimulating the economy for us IT types....

I think I'm glad I'm not a windows support person. Our guys have been patching since last week when someone sent out some mention about April 1st being a big day. The first wave of this thing was nasty and they spent weeks getting everything cleaned up. It actually caused our organization to change antivirus software vendors and finally re-evaluate how they were pushing updates.

Hehe... sorry... couldn't resist. This (http://www.opednews.com/articles/Is-Your-Computer-Ready-for-by-John-R-Moffett-090331-983.html) is an article that came out pre-April 1st. Now people are saying the whole thing might have been an April fools joke.

Either way... it got people to freaking update their computers.
