HUGE congrats to the guild Rest In Peace for forever changing the lands of Norrath as we know it in a server first defeat of the dragon Yar Lir. Yar Lir was said to be maintaining a magical veil keeping the server out of the Nest and after Rest In Peaces defeat of Yar Lir on 3/14/05 the veil has been lifted and all are free to explore this dangerous place. Again HUGE congrats goes out to all those in Rest In Peace :)

I want to take this opportunity to thank my friends and family, without them none of this would be possible today. Want to thank my crew for putting up with me and finally I want to thank all of you for believing.
Damn, wrong speech. Enjoy the Nest. ;)

Gratz....
Think most of the real hardcore people have either left the server or have gone to another game imho. EQ seems to be dying slowly but surely.

Think what ya want. We're finding more folks coming back from EQ2 and WoW than ever :)
When folks have to sit out cuz raids are full, it's an influx :)
The folks server jumping are mainly because their guild was struggling and they couldn't rebuild. Something to be said for having quality over quantity.

You guys sure RIP beat Yar Lir? Next thing some lamer is going to post they beat Inktu`Ta, just face it they won't get past Kelekdrix and since the nerf MPG trials are unbeatable..
No one will kill King and Queen in RS until a server merge or something drastic happens, EQ, IMO is dead.

Are the Riftseekers's King and Queen as hard as they were a few months ago? We spent hours simply to clear the king/queen room. If I recall correctly, one event has "bombs" whereby bards, monks, and druids would kite around the room, and the other chain casts an AE mez effect (which a guild is said to have killed the boss but was unable to retrieve the loot due to the chain mez effect). I think we overcame it with some merchant-bought potion that has some sort of beneficial effect but has a DoT attached to it.
Nobody in my guild enjoyed raiding the RS King/Queen, but the loot was simply superb. I think that the King/Queen was also required for progression as well.

They are not required for progression and the AE mezz was removed fairly early on..although the guild I was in had no troubles with that version of the King either. I thought they were fairly gimp encounters really once you figured it out and the funny this is..it doesn't reset. Kill off the prince/princess and you have all the time in the world to kill the King/Queen. Now if they put it on a timer then I would see some guilds having issues but over all I think many guilds across most of the servers have been farming them for months now.

MPG trials are not unbeatable. Friends on other servers are doing them , and while 2 are very tough unless everyone pays attention, they are being beaten.
OoOO and grats RiP!!!! It's always a rush doing server/game firsts and I wish you more of them!

The raid trials in MPG are not hard, but every person in your raid must be fully-responsive. They're a lot of fun when executed properly, however, it only takes one person to wipe an entire raid. Like Gates of Discord, Omens of War is about clean execution and responsiveness. If there is any indication of this, consider the Barxt expedition and Txevu. All raid trials are required in order to access Anguish.
