I was at work today having a chat about 9-11 where we were what we were doing etc... Well one of my coworkers told me to check out this video on Google about 9-11 and it got the conspiracy do not trust the government part of my brain working...
http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=-2023320890224991194&q=9-11+alex (http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=-2023320890224991194&q=9-11+alex)
I know that if you look at anything the wrong way it can seem like you see what you want to see but this was very interesting. Remember Bush was just elected president, the economy was going in the toilet, and his approval rating was starting to slip up when this happened. It is all very strange to me but hey i honestly do not think the US government would kill a few thousand citizens to start a war with Osama to lead to Iraq.

That's all been done to death over the last 5 years.... Tin-foil hat indeed. People who disagree with a point of view will look to any notion for proof of their point.

I wish I could remember the title of the book, but I read a story about 25 years ago of a secret government plan using the just then being developed stealth bombers to stage an attack on several key cities (that also were on the verge of bankruptcy) to instigate pretty much what we have seen result from 9-11.
If I can ever get the title I will post it. Story was well written, and actually believable when viewed from the characters perspectives. I would have a hard time believing any of our politicians would annihilate hundreds of thousands of people as the plot in the book went, simply for the pursuit of their own agendas (well, Cheney and DeLay maybe, hehe). But seriously, there are probably a lot of other books in the same vein out there.
If you want to look at the tragedy of 9-11 from that perspective, as I am sure some on the far left would love to do, there might be a circumstantial case available to be constructed. The same exercise can be done with almost any major events of history.

I need a litle more proof to beleive it.
1. if they werent passenger planes that crashed into the tradecenter then what is the sstory behind the supposed people that were on the planes?
2. that version of the movie was to crappy to make any kind of judgement on some of the slow motion parts where he wants you to look at something specific.

Some say Paranoia is a heightened sense or awareness.
Just because you think "they" are out to get you, dosen't mean "they" aren't.
These people tend to believe that the CIA killed Kennedy, Pyramid Power exists, and the Mother Ship will call the faithful home soon.
In Prehistoric times, they would have gotten a club upside the head for stirring up trouble in the tribe.

Now that I think about it, I think Mythbusters debunked the myth that a airplane jet would flip a car so much didnt they?

I like some of the sites you get when you search "mark burnback."
First thing I read is that is that women in the background of the film were screaming "That's not American Airlines! That wasn't AMerican Airlines!"
So, what? Someone told them in advance it was going to be an AA plane, and they were surprised?

That movie is great...its so focused on this flash that happens, so what about it? Like it was what caused the damage to the building? These films never ask the question: Where are the planes that had the people on them? I honestly only see a shadow and really don't see what they describe as something attached to the bottom of the plane.
I guess if a missile hit the pentagon then there must be a plane with passengers hidden somewhere.
The more beleivable conspiracy theory would be that the administration ignored the warnings and through "purposeful" carelesness allowed 9/11 to take place.

People from the future came and removed all the passengers on the planes just before they crashed. That's what I heard.

no mythbusters could not replicate it due to insurance reasons and the inability to get a jet to test it with. they used a mock engine setup that indeed pushed the car some but they also had video showing that it could happen.

Wow....
Of course out of this subset of folks that think this could've taken place this way there is an even smaller subsubset that saw the face of the Devil in the smokey aftermath...
Next week it's discovered Batboy was flying the planes and flew out at the last second!!!!

A la the finale of 70s bad horror flick The Car?
The conspiracy theories drawn around 9/11 are pretty inventive and cover a lot of bases, but I'll go with Batboy on this one, under mental control by the Face of Mars.

Didn't he play Pat Garrett in the BillyThe Kid movie that Bob Dylan had a role in?
And he was sucking face with Barbara Streisand in A Star Is Born, or something like that.
And drove a truck in Convoy.
And got his ass whupped by Steven Seagal in Fire Down Below.
And he also appeared in a number of other lesser known roles, hehehe (like these are well known).

The only car show worth watching "Top Gear" blew cars all over the place, albeit dinky british/euro cars, with a 747-400.

The temperature of the fire at the WTC was not unusual, and it was most definitely not capable of melting steel.
This is a basic premise of his - and it had been proven wrong (at least to my satisfaction, though I'm no expert) quite a few times.
Also, someone should remind him that concrete and sprayed-on insulation are both grayish white.
That’s correct – no steel-beam high-rise had ever before (or since) completely collapsed due to fires! However, such complete and nearly symmetrical collapses in tall steel-frame buildings have occurred many times before -- all of them due to pre-positioned explosives in a procedure called “implosion” or controlled demolition
And THIS - this is just flat out misleading. He's not taking into account at all that the construction of the World Trade Centers was different than almost ALL steel frame skyscrapers. And that, after the WTC buildings were built, this type of design was barely ever used again. The design of the WTC building skeleton itself makes it easy to see why the building could fall straight down.

I guess his point is that no skyscrapper ever collapsed due to fire, rather than no skycrapper collapsed straight down due to fire.
Is there any building skeleton that would make a building *not* fall straight down?

I think if you look at skyscraper collapses due to fire, then at the subset that is "jet plane crashes into and throws burning jet fuel everywhere" the subset is pretty small. This may be the only example. They covered it on a PBS special, but I can't remember the answer 100%.
