Anyone else get an invite? I'm patching now ... kinda curious to see if this puts life back into that game.

City of villians? Not up with all the geeky gamer analogies.

Yes, he's referring to City of Villains; I'm in and played in the stress test Thurs night - but truthfully, it was so laggy (rubberbanding/disconecting from mapserver a lot) that it was hard to get much of a feel for it. There are some interesting new powersets and I liked the writing, of what I've seen of it, so far...

Nydia

In, haven't been able to play yet.

Roommate is loving it. Except for the whole off-weekend thing.

I am in too, gonna name my char Kelraz (naturally). I really liked CoH but after a month it just got very dull. Hopefully the same problems won't persist in CoV?

Also going to be doing the beta but still downloading atm. I play City of heroes pretty much more than anything atm, so City of Villians should be fun hopefully. CoH is best when done in short gaming sessions with the occasional long session now and then imho....Been hearing that CoV seems to be pretty good tho.

I enjoyed CoH - it was a lot of fun when I could pop on with my friends for a couple hours. Beyond that....not so much.

Yeah, the game didn't have enough depth. I really liked the cityscape environments, though - the game definitely had the comic book atmosphere.

I lost interest in about 2hrs of playing. Everything except the players looked the same =\
