Culpepper looked sharp as hell today for the first time this year. I thought it was pretty impressive and a good showing with Moss gone and Burleson out.

I wanna see him do it 2 times in a row before I will consider it more than a flash in the pan thing this year.


It sure had to boost his confidence though after the cold start.

I'm with Blearchie. It was nice to seem some positive results though. The Tight End in that offense will be the leading receiver. . .

Actually it was funny. The guy who had him in my FFL benched him for this game. He was a little upset to say the least.

If Williamson and Taylor can stay healthy Culpepper might put some numbers up this year. Without someone of Williamson/Moss speed that he can just throw downfield and let them catch up to the ball, Culp will never be more than a mediocre QB.

He is big, and hard to bring down when running, but prone to ankle injuries, so running is not going to be as much of an option now that he has the huge dollar contract. He cannot read defenses worth a damn, and seems almost unable to scan the field for 2nd or 3rd options, but stays locked on a single target once the ball is snapped. You can probably get a more intelligent conversation with a bowl of alphabet soup.

We have Brad Johnson for a backup. The question is if he will ever get to play, since they seem to want the money guy in there regardless of his performance.

Week 4, the Vikings are at 1 - 3, and Culpepper was getting sacked today by everyone but the Atlanta cheerleaders. Makes ya wonder just how tight the offense is when ya see the lack of protection being offered by the front line.

And still, Brad Johnson watches from the sidelines as Culpepper keeps adding to his numbers......turnover numbers, that is.

Atlanta does have a top 5 D-line though, and this was the unit's first game with all the starters in place. Minnesota has always had an above-average line I think, but their projected adjustments caller is out for the season (birk).

I hope that game goes a long way towards the Falcon's quest for legitimacy. Vick was downright effective as a pocket passer, and Schaub managed the game with veteran precision.

The MRI on Vick's leg came back negative on all counts. Oh well, next week we get the Pats.

Yeah, I don't want to take anything away from the Falcons, 'cuz they did look very good throughout the entire game. The upcoming game against the Pats will be one to watch for sure.

And I wish they had talked money with Birk instead of Culpepper:confused:
