Ok.....decent movie for what is meant to be

ok Statham is NOT an amzing actor, he IMO isnt even an really good action actor, but he does well here. Tyrese is the same guy in every movie and he plays Machine Gun well. I like the movie for the gratuitous violent fest it promised to be.

The bitch warden got hers in the end, and all is well. I LOVE LOVE Ian McShane and he DID NOT disappoint



3 out of 5 EQ's, 4 out of 5 if you put it in the category of random violence

It was better as Running Man, I felt like the makers were desperate for an idea so just took the concepts to the extreme just to make a buck.

I plan on seeing it at some point, just because Ian McShane was so awesome in Deadwood.

The original Death Race 2000 was better, but this was a decent watch. I just can't see Machine Gun Joe as anyone other than Stallone.

Saw this past weekend, I went into it not really expecting much and with my brain turned off, but was presently surprised by it. Having seen The Running Man but not the original movie, I can say that it followed the model of The Running Man fairly accurately, just with a hell of a lot more violence because I imagine they were able to get away with more with special effects.

Fun action flick, and from what I understand most of the car knowledge is fairly accurate, for what its worth. I know people who refuse to watch The Fast and the Furious and its annoying sequels because the cars are inaccurately portrayed.
