Its a lot rougher than Risk, you can't choose where to fortify. So you make an attack and then the 7 npcs all rape whatever you have left before your next turn.

*edit* Ooooh! I just won an 8 person one.

Build up some power in your back field, then expand your front and leave a single piece territory as bait. The computer will take it and give you a path for your 8s to move out every time. The key is to not over extend yourself.

I just played a game where I was eliminated before my turn started :(

Okay I have now won 2-7 and am working on a win for 8.

That is too funny about getting eliminated on your first turn :)

Edit: okay i have now beat all of them :) 2-8

Yeah, if you can make it past the first 3-5 turns, it's not too bad. The initial land grab is rough though, if you don't get to move first or second.

Feels kind of like playing Virus, if you get into a corner, there's no way to get out because no matter what you're doing you'll be losing ground faster than you can get it back. So addictive!

The computer is a frickin' CHEATER BITCH!! Reminds me of Mario Cart on the N64...

Two things that helped me start winning. Don't over extend to fast (as mentioned earlier) is one...but the biggest thing is to try to fight towards your other troops thus consolidating your forces.

Even if you lose the territiory you took on the way there it is a huge advantage to have your reinforcements all in the same area.

Hint:

Look at the numbers under your purple peice. It identifies how many territories you have that are ALL CONNECTED. You get more peices back every round the more territories you have connected up.

The initial land grab is the most important part, try and go for the middle or largest land mass if you can. Those penisulas and blocked off areas won't help you down the road.

We need a multiplayer version of it.

I like to "lock up" the penisulas and corners... and work outward.

I didn't know about the numbers below though.

8 isn't that difficult if you pick and choose your map / layout. It would be a real challenge if you just took the first they gave you.
