Paint that sucker Red, White, and Blue. God bless America.

Heh I wouldn't oppose a small English accent to the building. They are our true Allies:p

All kidding aside, that thing is gonna look bad ass when it's done.

Knock us down, we'll build another. Motherfuckers.

What strikes me as odd though, is why make it stand out?
I mean you'd think they'd make it smaller or design it so it blends in so terrorists don't go blowing it up again.

Odd that.

Halo has a point. We might as well just paint a nice big "slam a plane into me here!" target on one of the sides. 8/

That would be a sign of being afraid. Build it HUGE!

Haloface
12-23-2003, 03:50 PM
Well I'm just saying. If some idiots fly another plane in to it, you'd be pretty gutted with the amount of money and time spent on it.
Or.. OR, build it.. but paint it white and blue, like the sky. So no one in a plane know's where it is.

Eh, eh. You just gotta think about these things you know.

With locked security doors, armed pilots, passenger awareness, and better (maybe not great...but better :') airport security.... a 9/11 style attack isn't going to happen again.

I'd be more worried about suicisde bombers, drive up bombs, etc. But no matter what you put there, it's going to be a target. Not sure I'd be gettin' in line to buy space in it...then again I probably would, to give a big FU to terrorists.

Besides, I hear they have recruited James Doohan to install deflector shields around the tower :')

I heard the building has built in RADAR and turns into a giant robot when threatened. It has LASERS for eyes and rocket launcher hands. Sweet.

Think anyone will want to rent office space with that big a bullseye on it?

Why not just stick an 1800ft dildo in the NY soil and type out in bold letters on banners:

"America, bigger than yours"?

actually i recently read an article a little while ago about a kid that snuck stuff onto a plane. It was matches a block of clay( he wanted to make it look like c4) and a plastic knife that he got past them.
He later called the airport up and said he did it and told them where they could find the items on the plane where he hid them and they later arrested the kid too :/ shows how good security really is when a teen can do that.

None of which would help him pull off a 9/11 style attack. Blow up a plane perhaps, but not hijack it and then fly it into a building.

'None of which would help him pull off a 9/11 style attack. Blow up a plane perhaps, but not hijack it and then fly it into a building. '

- Uhh.. how about "Fly this plane in to that building or I'll blow us all up"?

Matches, a block of C4, and a plastic knife don't get you anything.

You cannot keep someone who REALLY wants to from getting stuff onto a plane. Maybe someday when we have some sort of perfect detection device.

trimlock
12-30-2003, 11:53 PM
yes because we all know plastic knifes can scrape you and cause infections

Lardain
12-31-2003, 12:01 AM
u may not think nothing of it but the fact that he got those items thru security and without them detecting says that its not hard to sneak otehr things in because the security is supposed to be on the lookout for things that look like explosives, weapons etc.

Plastic knives, when snapped at an angle, can stab straight through your jugular.

Halo- If someone tells a pilot to fly into a building or I'll blow us up that pilot will not fly into the building, he'll immediately try to get away from people. I mean, "Fly into that building and kill yourself and 3000 people and the passengers or I'll kill the passengers...." think about it =)

/Psy-Vas

Haloface

OK, I thought long and hard about it.
How about this one? They use the bomb casing to knock the pilots over the head, and then fly the planes in to a building themselves?

trimlock
12-31-2003, 01:20 AM
kiv that situation can be used in any setting, also doesn't help that they give out plastic forks and knives during flight dinners

Lleauric
12-31-2003, 01:36 AM
Like a sharp pencil..

Besides.. A block of clay? Hell.. Let him have a whole suitcase of C4.. aint do a damn bit of good without a blasting cap.. try getting one of those through the security..

Kivorn
12-31-2003, 01:50 AM
That was my point in its entirety.
Almost anything (plastic trays, belts, belt buckles, any kind of glasses, shoelaces, most shoes, hands/feet/knees/elbows/skull/teeth/nails yada yada) can be made into a weapon.
People going "oh my god, whatcha gonna do, cut me up with a plastic knife" are gonna get stabbed down. What, don't you ever watch cartoons? It's like the number one arch-villain line.

Install a RAM missle system at the top of the tower. Problem solved.
