Discussion shold be just that, not a screamfest trying to convert people to your position. One of the great things about America is people can have a difference of opinion, and still get along (mostly).
Too many people here are convinced they are right, and everyone else is wrong.
I think it boils down to respect, or the lack of it.

Differing opinions are great and can be good for debate. The problem I see however with very many folks on this site (myself included at times) is that rather than even try to listen to the other side we/he/they just blast the other side. I basically just stop reading threads where that bullshit starts.
