Iran is next (http://www.boston.com/news/world/middleeast/articles/2006/01/15/us_senators_say_military_strike_on_iran_must_be_op tion/)

Now thats a scary prospect, Iraq was "easy" by comparison. However if it does come to war I think this time the Eurotrash will back us up, as they definitely have the programs, we have proof, (hell they're throwing it in our faces)

However I hope it doesnt come to war. War with Iran will be nasty, I think if we end up there it will make Iraq look like disneyland in comparison.

As I said in a previous post, give sufficient notice for populations to evacuate, and carpet bomb military installations and potential nuclear sites. It is in the world's best interests to keep those fanatics from having access to nuclear capability.

Naw shouldnt be too difficult to achieve military win

Much like Iraq a steady air bombardment will shred what little they have. the problem like Iraq will come after we've kicked thier teeth in.

Wars are not won with airpower, battles are. Wars are won by taking and holding.

Most countries have a full realization that head to head you cannot and will not beat the USA. They do realize that the way to beat the US is...Insurgency.

I'm not so sure there would be mass support for an insurgency amongst the populace of Iran, there would however be an influx of foriegn fighters, not only from Arab countries but from the former Soviet states that border Iran.

Going in to Iran "alone" would be a massive error in judgement that would incite the greediest and most power hungry of Muslim leaders, thereby causing a mass recruitment from . It would give them yet another area to point to that America has colonial designs.

If we are to go in to Iran we MUST take the time necessary to build a strong coalition of not only european nations but also Middle Eastern nations or we will be mired in that area of the world for the next 10 generations at least.

Most of all, going to war should be the absolute LAST resort.

This would be nasty in another way too. We still have troops in Afghanistan, troops in Iraq, and then we'd have a third front.... Iran. What will Syria do? We're already pretty thin now and we aren't meeting recruiting goals.

We definitely need some support on this one.

Truth is, you beat any occupying force that way. Not just the US...

OKay, how about this. Rather than letting the US lead this one, what are the thoughts on letting the EU be the primary force?

We would want to win right?

...

We definitely need our allies with us on this one if it does come to war.

The games Iran are playing remind me of his crazy neighbor for many years playing with the UN..(kicks out the inspectors, lets them back in ..kicks them out..ect.) Iran will give into the UN..then two months down the road same shit over and over.
