Who knows. I guess some of the RLNAG stuff would be decent for history, polysci, and government type classes.

Just what nugget of wisdom or educational importance does this board have?

Just because it was crawled by that site doesn't mean someone actually used something from here. Sanchek you dumbass, if you didn't know EQ is a game played by mainly highschool and college aged kids. So it make sense this site and alot of others that cater to that age group get's crawled on a semi regular basis.

Maybe..but (assuming) the writer even participated in the discussion, then its not plagiarism is it?

... It's a random spider. Them spidering us has 0 to do with whether or not anyone's used something here as a source. I didn't say someone had submitted us.

The RL board (and your RL board too, I'm sure) has stuff in it that could easily be copy pasted around for about any high school paper, and some intro college level stuff.

Nah, if they use other people's ideas without citation it could still be considered plagiarism. Granted, that site would only pick them up if they were worded very similar fashion.

I guess it depends if the judging party views forums as a discussion or a publication.

I guess none it matters regardless..just seemed odd.

What does spidered mean?

A spider is a program that visits web sites and attempts to scan and record all of the files in that site. Search engines can use these programs to build up their search indexes.

"Spidered" just means that your site was visited by one of these programs.

Heh, my school has had a program similar to this in effect for awhile. Its all the websites students view at their computer labs.

And they wonder why students don't fully utilize their computer labs!
