So those Somali savages finally took a ship chock full of US nationals, with US Navy warships only 300 miles away. It does seem quite far, but if it was a race, the gas turbine powered naval ships should have no problem catching up to a pregnant whale of a cargo ship. Camp Lemonier in Dj is quite close as well too.
One has to ask now when we can start putting deck guns on merchant ships, or at least some kind of security force on board? This has been out of hand for quite a while now. Its time to send this slime to Davey Jones.

Something needs to change to be sure. Maybe through out a few "merchent" ships chock full of fully armed Squids and Jarheads to give them a nice suprise!!

I saw a developing news flash on the CNN site that mentioned the US crew may have regained control of the ship. Still no confirmation yet.
I guess knowing you might be sold off to Al Qaeda is great incentive to take matters into your own hands.
*Edit* The latest information posted on Breitbart is that the crew is holding one pirate in custody and the rest of the pirates were "in the water". I wonder if the crew made them walk the plank? :)

Yargh!
Interesting that the U.S. crew was the only one to fight back. At least that I've seen reported in the news.
They should make them walk the plank. There's no school, like the Old Skool....

Maybe because we are allowed to own guns in the US.

Someone mentioned a conspiracy theory to me. The US intentionally had this ship cruising the area, waiting for this to happen. Using trained soldiersposing as regular sailors, let the ship get captured, made sure the media got a hold of it. Then the crew retook it, thus allowing the US to have a larger presence in the area without worry of any kind of international incident.
The whole purpose was to stockpile a naval prescence for possible operations in the mid-east

Well the latest info seems to indicate they aren't in the clear yet. Apparently the captain is being held hostage, though the rest of the crew is free.
Staying tuned...

When you give a moment of consideration to the fate of American hostages in the region, it would not take much urging among the crew to get them to fight back, I am sure.
And I am in full agreement that it is way past time to start blowing these little fucks out of the water. :devil

SEALs use CIA ships disguised as civilian ships for transport and missions sometimes, so it's possible.
