Here's mine.

I was smithing with my 47 druid and needed to restock the HQ ore merchant. So I popped down to W Commonlands and scooted over to Kith. Feeling lazy (tradeskilling has that effect) I set her on autorun and pointed her approximately at the High Pass zone on the other side.

Turns out, there's this hut filled with really nasty dark elves smack dab in the middle of Kithicor. I couldn't have come any closer if I had aimed for it. :P

CR was fun as I couldn't IvU or invis since the hut has mixed live/undead and their aggro range was larger than /cor range plus my favourite rogue happened to be asleep. :P

Ended up hiring a nice SK to do a summon, the SK also had a cleric so she rezzed me as well. :) :) (I paid her 200 for the summon coffin supplied by me, and 300 for the rez).

Heh I am sure I won't hear the end of this. I was pick pocketing in Kala. I am a dark elf so this required me to use my barb illusion. Well, the current spawn of Founy did not have the note. I go afk to wait for respawn thinking I am out of arg range. I come back to find myself in PoK naked. The illusion had worn off, of course, and I got arg from the roaming guard. Sometimes, I amaze myself (which isn't hard) at my own stupidity.

I went FD afk at the water wing in BoT a while back. I had totally forgotten that they ae. Group xp'ing on my feigned corpse = mobs ae'ing on my feigned corpse. I was alive for a good hour or so while they were there, till they died.

Now that's funny!

Was on my way to a group in tactics. Went to drop in the pit (having safefall maxed) I figured it wouldnt be a problem I have done it a dozen times. So I dropped in right on top of the port out stone did 20k damage. Not sure if it happened because I fell on the stone or if it was a fluke. Was pretty funny though.

Talking instead of LOHing myself midfight in a Mistmoore adventure. I neglected watching my hps until it was too late. Pretty embarassing.

I remember heading to kael my first time, I was coming out of GD and I had a map that I printed out (damn thing didnt show the big ass grand canyon in front of it).I looked at where kael was and decided to hug the wall or close to it. I was just chatting on auto walk till I got there then all of a sudden the floor dissapreared. Im pretty sure I had time to type "oh shit" out before I hit the ground.

Dieing at least one of two runs each time I go to Kael thru EW...

I was meleeing greens the other day, and went to cast my DS on myself. I must have hit the wrong key, because I wound up with a nasty dot. Not thinking, I DS'd myself and figured it would run it's course safely. I just ignored it and kept fighting what shouldn't have been a challenge. The greens knocked me down just enough for the dot to finish me.

/sigh

I think all the guild clerics were laughing too hard at me to res me.

Went to take down Faydedar for a guildie's epic... had bound myself INSIDE the inner ring without thinking about it. I forgot about that pesky AE spell Faydedar has.

You guessed it... I died... and popped right back up in the same spot, AE hit before I could get to my corpse or get out of range, died again...

I had to /Q to get out of the binding death loop. *cringe*

Problem was, with the spells going off, the lag was bad and I was dead before I could get logged in enough to type /Q.

Finally was able to /Q out and log on another toon until everything had calmed down and I could get rezzes.. 12 of them. <sigh> I did manage to get my level back though.

It's always the small things we forget. *note to self* Bind OUTSIDE the ring next time.

I grouped with an SK who split mobs about as well as warrior quad-kites.

I was playing Americas Army, on insurgent camp map..
Firefight going on.. Suddenly I get the brilliant idea to rush the flank while the fight is holding the nose...

Dumbest way I've died in EQ recently, well I haven't played for awhile.. but the last time I died it was pretty sweet..

We were fighting Cazic Thule in Plane of Time, I was really high and got aggro, instead of hitting feign death or harm touch(I was playing Drakz) I just jumped out of my chair and walked away..
People were sending me tells asking how I died, I replied with I don't know.. I didn't want to tell them I was far too high to play EverQuest and I gave up the moment I got aggro

in battlefield, invasion of the philippines map, driving with a jeep from the airforce base to.. that small base above it.. i drive full speed over a hill, get out of the car in mid air for a bit of a surprise and BLAM! the car lands ontop of me...

Lets see... Nuking myself to death on a Trak. raid, which was my very first raid as an app with a guild. Then doing it again at VS the next week.

Oh wait, that was Zehn.

Well, it was CB's first time doing VT...and I was like totally bored out of my mind, so I stuck follow on the first group member available, and fired up GTA: Vice City. Turns out, I stuck it on a rogue, who had SoS, who, yeah, you can guess the rest.

dumbest way ive died recently... hmmm. Well I have 3 deaths that i recall as being really dumb, however they werent recently.

I was following a shaman friend of mine to Permafrost when we were both about level 20 or so (a LONG time ago) and we ran through High Hold pass to run through the Karana's that way. When we zoned out of High Hold Pass, I threw auto run on real quick to type a message in group. I can remember typing the message and seeing the cliff coming up ahead. I tried to turn, but at that time you couldnt turn if you were in the middle of typing something (i did not know this!). So naturally, my message was something like this ... "/group Man, im excited about runnin all the way up here to permafrost. Ive never been that far north before. Any idea what were gonna dddddddddddddddd .... ahhh sh*t!" *SPLAT*.

My shaman friend had to run all the way down the cliff, and run back into the canyon to get my body out from behind a red-kos npc which was fun. I ran back and he laughed at me the whole way.

When velious first came out, I was following a group of guildmates. We were going to head to kael for the first time. We all were auto-follow on our guildleader at the time and he just knew that Kael was "that way". We were running through Eastern Wastelands and I am sure you can guess what happened next. We are coming up on a big wall, and I assume that this has to be it. We round the corner and see a ledge and our GM just runs right off.... taking all the auto-follow lemmings with him. I happened to be the last in the auto-follow chain, so I got to see everyone else go SPLAT before I did! ... groupchat was nice after we all got finished zoning p~

The last death that I can recall as being really stupid... back in my much more hardcore days, i would take on any camp with the mind-set that I was not leaving the camp until I got what I want. Well late one night I can remember going down into Dalnir to camp this green camp for a Robe of Dalnir. I can remember being cold and getting my friends big comfy papasian (sp?) chair (the big round ones that are kinda like a bowl that are so comfortable) and wrapping myself up in the comforter that I snagged from my bedroom. To make a semi-long story short.... 4 hours later I woke up to find myself naked in Neriak, and being laughed at by my two roomates.

I've yet to allow Ehrnam to die, so far. However, I was once two-boxing and running Darkmelusine to help out a bunch of goobs in fear and spent too much time on Ehrnam's window while she was autorunning to the corner in ferrott...and she kinda got stuck on the bank of the river.

I flipped back to her screen to watch her take the last bit of drowning damage in about 2feet of water...she really needs a faerune helm :(

If we're talking embarassing.. well it's not so much A death, as much as it was.. a horrible masacre of embarassing moments.

When PoP was first released, I got myself a brilliant group, wasteland in PoV. I mean.. top notch people. Great laughs, great personalities. One of those you remember.
The problem was - we were shit. We were really, really shit. Now I'm not sure if it was our skills personally, or just a hurrendous streak of bad luck.. but I've never wiped so much in my life. Had people from SoT, LS, CB.. yet nevertheless, we couldn't handle 2 mobs. And the entire time we were just laughing and crying and having a ball.
But we died. We died. We died. 2 hours in to it I think, we all must have deleveled. But it was one of my most enjoyable times, because it was all in good sport and humour.
Sadly the only name I can remember is Landslide's Farfar. There was also an SoT ranger.. uhm.. Karbalis? Possibly.

But anywho, yeah. Good times. Lots of deaths :P

Absolute best death in recent memory..

Carpin Cycle, we're at the part where if someone dies it causes the 5, or is it 4, skellies to spawn.

Well, someone died, then the skellies aggroed the poor druid that tried to heal the first person, dead druid. Then it was like dominos.

Was absolutely hysterical to see the raid of about 40 peeps get smoked by about 200 mobs. I have a great screenie of it.

I was camped in Qeynos when I was a mid-teens cleric, and my friends were heading to Upper Guk. So I ran to WK and started crossing. While crossing I had to change out a load of laundry in the other room so I just turned on autorun, running parallel to the river. When I got back to the computer, I was standing naked in Qeynos. I had to have a bard friend of mine get ported over to NK and run over to meet me so we could dredge the river and find my corpse.

Soloing with my 61 cleric to help a friend get a DE mask in LGuk. Got low after a couple of zols so I targetted myself, hit my CH key then walked over to grab a pop. Came back just in time to see myself get nailed with judgement.

Well this gem happened just last week. I was working on fletching making the expensive bows which cost 300p per attempt. Anyways, I got tired of running back and forth to the bank to get plat. So, figuring I will just get all my pp out of the bank at once (about 130k) and I will use my horse so I am not encumbered. Worked just great, got up to a nice gallop and I took a minor shortcut over a tiny bump, I swear it was not but 2 pixels off the ground .. but my poor horse couldn't take the strain and I killed myself in PoK on a bump in the ground from the weight of all my plat :\

While waiting for the grp to be ready in solro tower, went to the little lava-lake in the middle of the room at zonein. I don't really know why, i just stood in the center, above the lava.

boxing a shaman, i started to buff the grp. when looking back to my Ranger's screen, i see Soe is fading. Well, no hurry, i start to move out from the lava area, but of course i fall into it.
No problem, i will just walk out simply...

And then the surprise comes: i casted grpshrink with shaman 2-3 mins before...and i'm stucked in the lava.

Of course tried to save the situtation, but Soe is not an indoor spell, and i could not cast grow because of the "water-bug"....so all in all i burnt to death.

I had just dinged lvl 14 not too long before this happened...

I was in Gfay playing around on the wizzy spires because it was "fun" at the time (had only been playing for a couple weeks) and decided to bind myself at the top of one of the pillars. I had lev on and was sitting on the edge of the pillar, went afk for a bio break and came back a couple mins later to find myself falling to my death repeatedly...finally was able to get /q off and logged back in, wasn't far enough to the ground when i hit /q...fell to my death 1 last time before i did it correctly so when i logged back in to land almost safely on the ground...believe 8 corpses in all and almost dropped back down to lvl 12, sucked at the time....funny now that i think of it. :lol

When I was a lvl 28 almost 29 I decided to put myself up in the bazaar for the first time. I kept checking my screen until finally it was time for my daughter's nap. I laid her down on one end of the couch to watch a movie and I laid down on the other. An hour and a half later I woke up to find my 1 year old daughter had not only woken up before me, but she was sitting at my computer! I ran over to the comp and sure enough...there I was at my bind point dead as could be. To make matters worse my bind point at that time was on top of one of the spires above the FPR in TD. She had somehow gated me back and ran me off into the water so many times that I went from 28 down to 25! All I could do was laugh...who could have thought that a one year old could figure out how to gate my char from the bazaar. :p

This one just happened recently...
I had just dinged 60 and it was time to go to the Bazaar to look for the spells I was still needing for that level.

"Howdy Mr. Banker. I'd like to make a withdrawl please." Got my plat and did the good ol' /bazaar. Got a couple of the needed spells then sat down to mem them right there on the spot. I was a happy little camper.

When done medding I decided to gate back to my bind point. It being on one of the columns around the Nexus Stone I thought I would cast a few Temp spells fer free to share my happiness. Wot's this? All out of dots?! Time to run to the bank and grab a stack! I took one step and "LOADING, PLEASE WAIT..."

That first step will kill you...
I had forgotten to put me plat back into the bank while in the Bazaar. At first I was speachless. Then I couldn't stop laughing as I rezzed myself.

not new, and I posted it a long time ago somewhere too.

I had just entered rv to do some banking and was instantly sent tells from a level 5 pally asking for donations.After a bit of banter like if have no money, items will do, or a weapon and so on.I told him to just use the donation command.Then we had a small talk about the /donation command and how it works.

I knocked my beer over with glee and cackled so loud my wife two floors down asked me what was going on.Across my screen I had a yellow text message.I quickly enter my own /donation command and smiled as my finger descended to cast snare.Today was a happy day in beggarland.

My freshly snared pally said"?" and ran for the door.The entire halfass bank population ran for me,I forgot I was in town.As I click on the door to open it,the pally must of been trying to click it open to run,I was stuck.

Sometime later after I found a ress(Think it was Kiayla)and had returned to the bank.The same pally asked again for pp or weapons.

One of the more memorable moments I've had was my first ST run. The entire raid was new there, our first trip, and we get to the drop down near the final arbitor. Well I guess it didn't occur to anyone that lev might work or that its not that far down so just jump. So we jump down, 20k 20k 20k 20k. Like 1/4th the raid dies lol. Made me giggle. A few lived for some reason. After that they made sure we had dmf for drops lol.

Lol this one is easy... just happened yesterday.

I let my son play with my toon in PoT for a few minutes... now one of his favorite things is to jump off the side of the PoA tower into the water. I bind up top he gates back and the cycle continues. Only I have this rebinding issue.. so about half an hour later I die in PoE respawn at my bind point facing the stone pilar, not realizing where I am bound for an instant I back up the wrong direction and fall for 20k onto the ground below lol! Talk about stupid deaths... one of those "I'm glad I can rezz myself and don't have to tell anyone else moments". At least that time when I spawned up top I was sure to land in the water haha!

Well, haven't had any stupid deaths recently, but I did have some stupid near-death experiences. :D

Took bard to Thurgadin to buy my level 32 heal+mana song. Decided to explore around a bit, ended up deciding to see what was under the bridge. Figured there was no way Verant would make a way to actually get STUCK, right?

Well, I didn't anticipate the deep red see-invis mobs on the other end of the Icewell zone line. :P Luckily I managed to get a druid to come fetch me.

even tho i havent played recently, most recently i was running down the hill in potranq i think going to bot or something. and you kinda bounce on the way down. zyrek was in my group and decided to split like 400k copper pieces, and i died on a really stupid small step.

Think the dumbest way I've died was in a carprin cycle run at the part with the skellies. (First AoR time doing it) After the inevitable downhill spiral into the lagirific skeleton spawning ground (read when the first person dies) Everyone was ordered to keep fighting, all we had to do was kill Ahvi and we would be fine right?

Well, Ahvi did die. Then we did. Really fast. The last thing I saw was a HUGE amount of red text going through my screen, and a single pitiful riposte. I didnt even get to see my health bar drop I died so quickly.

I was laughing quite hard though, and the screenies Glen got of the skeletons going back and forth really had me laughing.

I feared the banker in Oggok at level 20.
Reminder, closing the door on them will NOT stop them from chasing you down and killing you.

I grav fluxd myself in the middle of SH and hit about 4 NPCs who proceeded to kick the crap outta me. Guess flying isnt that fun ;/

I went too buff a newbie they guards pounded me, casted slow instead of SOW. OUCH

I was with my guild a long long time ago getting seb keys, and we were all hanging around the turn-in guy afterwards waiting for the few druids and wizzies to come back and port us, and i still had the turn-in guy targetted. My finger slipped and I accidentally hit HT. I think I got hit 3 times before I died. Everyone asked what happened and I told them I had a seizure or something =/
