Yeah... I'm pretty done with WoW. Cataclysm really isn't exciting me all that much.

SWTOR, on the other hand... mmmmm.

Everything I read about the new Star Wars has me more and more disappointed really. Its essentially a single player game that you connect to a MMO server to play on. Probably just so they can rake in the subscription fees and the micro transaction crap. Why even make it a MMO / online if you can solo the entire thing? I just don't understand this trend.

This really.
If they are going to do stuff like this go F2P like LoTRO. I was excited about it but I'm just not anymore. I am still curious about Rift though, mainly b/c of the devs working on it are some of the better devs from EQ2 early days and I have faith in them. But even that isn't perking my interest like a next generation MMO should be doing.

Honestly the only reason I'm still into WoW is that I didn't play it so hardcore in the early days and really never raided much. It's only bee in the last 1.5yrs that I've really gotten into it, so I'm experiencing the game unlike I ever had before. And having tried everything and anything out there it is still the most polished game to me. I am still thoroughly enjoying it but admit raiding ICC10/25 on 3 toons is burning me out. I need new content! :(

I felt the same way you guys did at first, but then I started thinking that if any company could make this type of thing work, it would be Bioware. Me thinks I'll be taking a bit of a leap of faith.
