So there is a pop up fly, as A-Douche rounds the base he screams something at the fielder.

Story 1: A-Douche said he said "HAH" because he was mad or something

Story 2: The fielder says he said "MINE!" which made him back off the ball and the ball ended up dropping and a run scored.

OF course yankee management is backing A-Douche on this. Some sports writers are saying "all is fair in love and war" and that the purists should stfu. I am amoungst the purists who thinks its a fucking dick move. Just like in the playoffs couple seasons ago when he smacked the ball out of the players glove and tried to say a karate chop was just him running in stride.

I disagree. If the fielder isn't aware of his surroundings, he has no business in the MLB.

Plus, I'm a Yankees fan cause I'm originally from NY.

So when the fans yell "MINE!" or "I GOT IT!" or "YOU ARE GOING TO LOSE BECAUSE *INSERT HOME TEAM HERE* WILL WIN!!!" it means to back off and listen as well? You should know all your teamates voices and how they react to plays or get off the field.

edit: a rod is a douche

There is a difference between fans 40-50 feet away yelling and a voice 10 feet or less.

You are taught to work as a cohesive unit, if this wasnt a dick move then it wouldnt have made the media. But it made all the sports talk shows, all over ESPN.

Of course a fan of the Evil Empire will excuse it, and even condone it. I sure you were ok when he chopped the ball out of the fielders glove 2 years ago in the play offs?

Of course I was ok with it. Why wouldn't I be? That's why the game has umpires. It was an intentional foul. Big deal. The guy wants to win. Can't fault him for doing everything in his power to help his team win, albeit legally or illegally. That's why the game has Umpires to officiate. Let's not also forget, the man is hot as hell. :heart

Everything makes ESPN and the 9 million talk shows they give to any joe shmoe these days.

I know it is alot different in a stadium full of 50k+ fans but you should be able to know the 2 or 3 people in the field around you voices and the pitch they yell for it at. They do practice this stuff alot. It comes with being a professional in any field, you should know all about your field and the people around you.

I would like to know your stance about all the body armor the players are wearing today. Just put the body armor all along your arm and lean over the plate like A-rod and Bonds do with no reprecussion.

I hate it. They should get brushed back all day, and if their body is over the plate and they get hit should be a fucking strike and a HAHA. Granted strike zone manipulation isnt knew, Ron Gant comes to mind, he used to squat about 8 inches.

But its blantant at this point, Bonds and A-Douche could storm a hostage situation and win with the amount of gear they have on. i dont want anyone to be killed but if at 754 Barry Bonds had a career ending injury i wouldnt be unhappy. He is killing the sport.

Baseball is my passion and its going down hill because of people like A-Douche, Bonds, hell even on my own team Manny's perpetual whine whine whine trade me bull shit. That is why i hate Bud Selig he lost touch with baseball the day he let the All-Star game end in a tie.

They need to get a new younger guy in to baseball, and let these $15+ million a year prima donnas know that they work for baseball, baseball doesnt work for them.

I think its funny that a professional player can be so duped during play. I chalk one up for the Yanks.

I agree with the All Star game as a tie was a turning point in the league. I also hate interleague play. Some teams play a schedule of .300 and some .600 as opponents. They also ruined the magic from only time the World Series of the only meeting during the year of the two leagues.

Interleague was a good idea, but they need to balance the schedule more, which is really hard cause who knows who is going to have what record. If you would of told me the brewers were competative i would of laugh last year.

A Rod with a home run in the top of the ninth to win the game against the dreaded Boston Red Sox. Good times!! Probably old news now, but I'm a little behind on live sports. Loving Iraq more every day. Honest. :p
