So I reinstalled last night to see how things have changed and when I log in all of my models are awful .... the pre-luclin ones I'm guessing. So, ok I log out and go to options and enable detailed models and log back in...still the same thing.

I did a full scan and nothing was missing. Now I'm downloading all the additional content just in case but does anyone have any ideas?

The Luclin models ARE the aweful ones.

You wont like EQ1 graphics after EQ2. Pretty sure of that.

mmkay if it's not fixed after this latest download I'll throw up some screenies. The best way I can describe it is that everyone looks like a box. And I know that's not how it used to look :D

Graphics or not it still plays better and there's more to do than in Eq2 or WoW.

More to do in EQ1 than EQ2? I challenge you there ;) There's too much to do in EQ2, in fact allot of times I feel overwhelmed from it. I never had that feeling in EQ1.

I just want to pop in and say hi to some friends and I'm in my phase of I don't want really know what I want to play. I seem to hit this phase every 4-6 months.

I played Eq2 and grew bored with it's lack of content. I came back to EQ1 and honestly I don't see an end to the things I need to do outside of raiding let alone the massive amounts of raid targets in the high end now.

Eq2 fun....quest and hope to find rare drop Adept 3 versions of your skills that only give a .000001 increase in dps....FUN!!

Eq2 Great graphics and animations and alot of quests, only problem is was hard finding groups when I was trying to grind my troub from 42+, if I could find groups I would be back there in a flash but heres hoping for Vanguard!

Fandros much has changed in regards to rare rates and how beneficial they are. And recently they went back and revamped zones to increase named master/legendary drop rates.

But you do bring up something that is my biggest gripe with the game. In EQ if you got an awesome piece of equipment it had staying power. It didn't need to be upgraded in 10 levels. I hate that I had to find replacements for all of my hard earned gear when DoF came out. All those hours of raiding, all those DKP points and it was obsolete in 5 levels. Not to mention spending months working on the prismatic quest and having to unequip that :( Of course now they have like prismatic 3.0.

Anyway hope to get this thing working so I can poke around a bit :)

Got it working. A full download again fixed the problem. It took approximately 8hrs to download EQ and all of the expansions.

I looked all over for my discs, said something to my gf....she walked right out to the garage and pulled them from the ONLY box I didn't look in /sigh. Of course this was AFTER I got it working.
