Has anyone tried to two box at all in Eq2 that could give me a idea on how hard it is. I know you gotta be more active on both accounts because of the fact you cant just auto attack and heal once in awhile. With EOF coming out and every exapansion coming with it, I am debating if I want to just use EOF to open up a second account and two box on a pve server.
How about does anyone know how taxing it is on a computer to two box?

I have tried and it was miserable (granted this was last year) but it taxed my system so hard it was painful. Who knows how things run now days :D I do know people do it so I'm sure it's possible! GL with it.

2 boxing can be done. I did it with Ranger / Druid - but rangers tank far worse than they did in eq1, so this is not a great combo.
A Paladin / Druid is much better. Druids are particulary good at boxing, because of their heal over time that stack. Of course, you will not be able to use many nukes, but druids nuke miserably enough to ignore it.
And Heroic oppurtunities are harder, but definitely doable. You can even do 2class HoPs, but this was very hard with scout/healer - maybe tank/healer have more possibilities.
And your druid can still swarm pets, doing a bit damage :)

p.s. The best thing in 2boxing was tradeskilling - one character did the resins/washes/oils, and the other did the combines. :) But thats not true with Tier 7 anymore.

Actually the best class to duo with a pally is a swashy. Swashbucklers can severely slow and impair the mobs and do mega DPS while the paladin can hold the aggro. Paladins suck at DPS and if you did a duo with a pally and a healer it would take forever to kill mobs :p Of course if you're two boxing you may not care.
I used to duo with a swashy and we could easily take ^^^ yellow mobs, even named mobs. It was good fun and challenging :D
Lani did you two box on the same PC or different ones?

yeah thats the big thing did you two box on one computer or two.
My duo would prob be a druid healer and a Brigan because they can hold agro and do pretty decent dps. I think if I have any chance of two boxing I would have to have a macro Healer that way i can just load up my druid and sit him somewhere and let him insta heal whenever I needed it.

I boxed on 2 PCs of course, and I have boxed 2 years in EQ before, boxing was not new to me.
Mobs hit scouts hard.... My ranger was pretty decent equiped, and still had problems getting hit too often and too big :)

p.s. boxing a healer has another advantage: You can get in groups, and when someone leaves you can get your other toon in. For pallies / swashies its more hard :)
