I was going to type it but someone else already posted it on the SoE forums :D It's fun to be drunk again.
*** The Brew Day Festival ***
- A new holiday is upon us: it's Brew Day in Norrath!
- Seek out the portals in Antonica or the Commonlands to partake in the libations.
- Rasel Alechaser needs your help to make the perfect brew beyond the portals.
- Seek out your local bartender if you wish to purchase tasty spirits.
- Those who overindulge in the festivities may find their senses a bit... fuzzy.
I didn't see anything posted on the topic yet, so forgive me if this is a repost. I actually wrote this up for my guild, but i'll share with yall. Pretty fun little event. You'll find the Antonica portal just outside the NQ gates. (I'd assume that the Commonlands portal is similarly located near the main entrance to Freeport) The quest is very self explanatory. If you want help with a walkthrough highlight the text below:
Grab the quest standing right next to you as you zone into the special pub instance. You'll need to acquire the highest quality barley, hops, and water to make the concoction.
Barley- Go upstairs to another room instance and talk to the bartender. It's your mission to get Jimmy the 'proper amount of drunk' in order to hand over his barley. If he's not drunk enough he won't help you. If he's too drunk he'll aggro you or pass out. Make sure you give him strong coffee first thing to reset his amount of drunkeness. It worked for me to give him two ales and then two spirits. When he's the right amount of drunk he'll have a green outline and you can hail him for the barley.
Hops- Time to go cow tipping. Go to the Thundermist Village in Thundering Steppes and go to the barn. You'll find a named cow there. Right click and tip the cow. That will make the npc with the hops go and tend to the cow so you can sneak off with the hops.
Water- You'll need to collect the freshest water supplies in Antonica, Thundering Steppes, Nektolus Forest, and Commonlands. The freshest water can be found anywhere there are places to harvest fish. They aren't hard to find, but they don't respawn terribly fast so it's kind of a hassle to do this step in groups. The water will look like a fountain of blue particle effects at the bottom of the water and you have to right click to harvest.
After you collect all the supplies return to the npc in the pub instance. He'll give you a scroll that will port you to another special solo instance (remake of chamber of immortality) where you will need to choose Brell's stein out of a series of steins. You want the wood one. I don't know what happens when you fail, the quest text makes it sound like death. After you have the stein return to the quest giver for your reward.
Reward is a keg that can be placed in your house with unlimited beer supply. Enjoy =)
