I'm currently leveling up an enchanter (slowly but surely) and just trying to see what the usefullness of her in the upper levels will be.
I do know it won't be anywhere near the effectiveness of an EQ1 chanter but i'm not really too worried as long as i have some sort of role to fullfill.
Already have a few other classes i'm leveling up also but focusing on this one mainly when i play...

Illusionists and Coercers breeze line stack (currently) not sure about post revamp. Power regen is absoulutely crucial during long fights. I can tell you that I have heard in the revamp enchanters can't breeze outside their group which will suck....allot. Also their DPS is going up big time, they will be above fighters (most except monks) on the DPS ladder. Lastly, they have a "stifle" line of spells which prove very useful for rendering caster mobs....useless. Oh and lest we not forget their mezz. Right now a level 50 enchanter can mezz ^^ groupX2 mobs with ease. For raids like MG having a mezzer = quick win.

Honestly, given the sheer number of paladins I wish I would have chosen the guardian route or warlock/enchanter route b/c they are very useful. Healing isn't my cup of tea. Good luck =D

Ah thank you :)

I still have my healer on EQ1, but wanted to try something different this time around. Melee is good, but everyone is doing it so i decided i wanted to go the magic user route this time. I've always liked enchanting so i think i'll keep up with it and see how it goes...
