They hate ^ that site. It's growing exponentially too lol. I'm guessing the servers are down.

Irritating. It's my half day, and I woke up early just for a brief log in, check a couple mobs I farm, switched between characters and it gave me an "Invalid Password" message. Restarting just resulted in timeouts, then couldn't get pass the patcher. Planetside wouldn't load either.

Might be a TiVo clearing day...

Hows Eq2 going for ya Fildien? Still playing a good amount or just once in awhile? how do you feel about the new expansions

LOL don't ask me that.

Let's see I reactivated WoW again b/c EQ2 was getting to be too much again. I'm still beta testing VG and I just an invite for LoTR. I feel like a freaking perma-beta tester =\

Yeah I've been dinking around LOTR instead of Eq2, it just got bland even on pvp server

My problem with EQ2...I love it; I don't have enough time for it....not to play it the way I want to and that is at the top end. It takes sooooo much time to do some of those quests and only playing an hour here and there doesn't give it justice. If RL ever slows down again I might pick it back up and try to get there but right now I just can't :( It sucks I want to play games damnit!

The new expansion is quite good. I like the AA system well enough. The main problem is they tinkered heavily with resists, such that Master spells and, especially, taunts now get resisted with absurd frequency. I think SOE saw so many resist lowering AAs and effects that they boosted resists heavily to compensate. As a car salesman once told me, "They mark 'em up so we can mark 'em down."

But overall, good expansion. I've found them all quite good, actually. If SOE could make the base game better EQ2 might recover some of its lost subscription base. I also find myself playnig some WoW now and then and awaiting a VG beta key.

$5 to buy your way into the Vanguard beta. Just buy the preorder.
Its not worth the $5 though. I think it needs a LOT more development time.

Are preorder people already getting into beta?

NO! This was a HUGE mistakes :) It's still beta 3; that preorder stuff is phase 4.

EDITED: I said too much; still an NDA :(

I have a beta account for VG I'm not using. If it didn't use the same username I use for eq, I'd give it to one of you.

Same thing here; I'd happily give mine to someone but cannot b/c I use it for EQ2 and other SoE games.

Actually, pre-order gets you into Beta 5. Though considered "Open Beta", it's still by invite only.
