Ok, so I'm hooked!

Now, for the questions...

I've seen the links posted (and stickied at the top), are there other sites I should be looking at? Binny is my main, but I am feeling out other classes.

I guess my big question is, what is the best way to gather up cash quickly? I'm feeling the pinch in the pocket book. Any tradeskill items I should be gathering up?

Any other tips, tricks and help is greatly appeciated.

If you see any ? or ! on the ground pick them up and sell them. Some are more rare than others and can net a good profit. Work your harvesting levels up so you can keep up with what ever zone you're adventuring in. My gf has done nothing but harvest the past week and a half and she has netted 13p. Granted she is a tradeskiller (gods only know why) and she sometimes uses those rares instead of selling them but that is the fastest way to earn cash. It's also kind of boring IMO :p

Other than that, in each tier there are some times kill quests which have an incrementing reward for each step you do. A good example is in Enchanted Lands (lady at the dock and Sarma Singbellows) and in Tenebrous Tangle where you can net 3p in about 2hrs.

The sites I use most are eq2.ogaming.org and eq2.tentonhammer.com. There is no other EQ2 site out there that can even comepete with ogaming's database...sadly they are run by IGE but they still have the most up to date database. I hit tentonhammer for commentary and the occassional in depth guide.

Some people think that a treasured piece of gear that drops from xyz mob will sell on the broker....9 times out of 10 that's not the case. Spells, rares, fabled, legendary, and collection items is what sells on the broker the fastest.

Each tier has zones with named mobs that can drop legendary and fabled chests. Those are money items. I sometimes drag my lowbies around just to farm named mobs for cash.

Heritage Quest items sell for a hefty profit and can be bought back later from a shady swashbuckler if you're needing the cash up front. Some people keep the reward to decorate their homes with while others will find long term use from the items.

Your FP...did you do the armor quests in The Ruins? That will carry you until level 20 when you can start those armor quests. I'm not much of a FP'er so perhaps Mog can shed more light on the dark side :p

So it's really not much different than other games.

I really cant help with the money problem at small levels because I farm, I hate tradeskilling. ATM i am farming teh crap out of Ruins of Varsoon (level 30 zone) names solo.

I have a level 45 troubador on a PVE server atm, and from the knowledge I have gained from spanking them in PVP, I would say that you are picking a hard pvp class. Dirge if you want to be a bard is the better way to go, because they have more damage oriented songs and there buffs arent that much worse then troubadors.

I never did the armor quests on the evil side so IM not sure what the quests are, however mastercrafted armor is the shit :/

As you can see if it doesnt pertain to PVP im not very helpful

Any other questions just ask.

doh Everfrost is a pvp server?!
I don't have the knowledge for pvp like mog does so I'd listen to him I only have a level 26 Assasin and an SK over there and I don't know jack :(

The info I gave you was PvE oriented :( Though, most people can't afford mastercrafted armor and therefore you will find allot of people doing AQs in your 20s.

Lol I only know my server, but most of what I said applies anywhere, On Najena I have a hard time finding groups for a twinked 45 troubador. There ya go I shortened it and took all the pvp crap out of my post. Plus come to PVP you WEENIES!

I do the AQs with all of my characters b/c I am a cheapy and try not to fund my alt habit. It's decent IMO and good xp :D Buying crafted armor post LU 25 can be expensive and it's not as good as the stuff before the LU when crafted gear was better than dropped gear ;)

Maybe its just Najena or the fact that I havent found any real people I hang out with but I cant seem to stay interested in a pve server anymore, at least pvp I can fuck with Q's.

For me and pvp it's like trying to find a needle in a haystack....I can hardly ever find anyone to kill but damn it the second I'm killing something else out they pop in a huge group to take me out :(

Where the hell are all the Qs?!

Yeah we are having the same problem, Most of Q's are the school kids so its hard to find them ever on but on the weekend. The good side is definitely the losing side on this server.

Awesome advice guys, thanks for the help! Gonna keep all that in mind.

That being said, if a Dirge is more powerful than a Troubadour.....DAMN! I'm loving the Troubadour, I should roll a Dirge just to see what it's like.

Moglor

Well you should porbably ask a troubador on your server cause all I know is troubs on Najena have a hard time getting groups.

Dirge=DPS and DPS increasing buffs

Troubador= Power regen and Intelligence Buffs.

I do know that only Troubadors get a mez.

To put it a little more into perspective my troubador at level 45, my best damage I can do out of my songs and my sword abilities is 400 damage, AT 45! Rangers,Assassins, do this kind of damage at like 25ish.

troubs are total buff bots in raids, up until LU 24 they had an AWESOME charm and mez but it got nerfed :( I have a level 36 troub that I play sometimes...

dirges do a bit more damage than troubs and they get a rez however their DPS is not anywhere close to other scout classes like swashies.
