Howdy

Was just wondering, since today I've been constantly getting this eqgame.exe error and can't get into EQ. It's happening on both my laptop and my desktop.

On my laptop I've tried everything including uninstalling and reinstalling EQ, my video drivers and DirectX.

Any takers?

Chances are Sony broke something and you have to wait for a patch. =P

You should have stayed retired, Binny. People who quit smoking and stay that way have no problems with wondering who ganked their ligher. :D

Ok, got my system running WinXP going, but my system running Win98SE is screwed still :(

I keep getting an EQGame.exe error and it gives references to the EQMain.DLL file. I've tried deleting that file. I've tried deleting the EQGame.exe file and then downloading the patcher off the EQ site. I've tried reinstalling everything, but still nothing.

Apparently lots of people having this problem, but still no dice.

Reinstall the old video driver and delete eqhardware.ini

Actually, here was the solution that the CSR provided.

Delete the eqgame.exe, eqclient.ini, eqmain.dll.

Then run EQ and let it patch. Then go in and do a complete file check.

Worked like a charm.
