So I just recently downloaded EQIM to the computers at my school. However, when I want to join a channel that has a password, it does that illegal operation shit and closes...every time. Has this happened to anyone else? And if so, is there a way to fix it? Thanks.

I use the Trillian plugin, myself. I never understood the appeal of the IRC server deal.

try typing in just the name of the channel without the password. It will ask for the password afterwards. This was my biggest problem for a long time because I was typing like penguinchat:isforfun instead of just penguinchat. You get what I'm saying?
