Anyone able to use EQIM on A.Ro (or any other server)? I'm unable to connect on the native client, or on the TEQIM Trillian plugin.

I was able to connect as of Thursday, but I have not tried it since then. I will check tomorrow and let you know. (Monday)

No, the native client for me fails too.

As far as I know the EQIM app hasn't been updated for some time. I went to check for an update recently and the file on the site was the same size as the one I've had for like a year. I can send anyone an .exe file installation file of it if wanted.

Firewall

EQIM works for me too. Even though we sit behind a firewall we can still get outside because the ports are open for us. Anyway, it works for me from work and from home.

I only say it's firewall b/c that is the exact same message I get at work (where I am blocked from doing certain types of chat). At home however it's working, as well it is working for others so it is definitely something to do on your end :\

Oh, I know that isn't likely to happen, but *something* is fishy. I'm looking at the Ethereal dump of the conversation between me and the server, and I'm seeing a conversation, but, it looks mostly like a series of "are you there?" messages before it gives up.

Maybe SOE banned you from the EQIM servers. Maybe try connecting to EQIM via a different account and see if it works?

Yup. My main account, and my secondary account can't logon to EQIM. I borrowed an account that can. I told a few little birdies. I'll see what happens.

That happened to my account awhile back too. Turns out it was because I stopped giving them money. Go figure.

Yeah, they still get my money, unfortunately.

My problem was strictly PEBKAC. I overthought the troubleshooting.

Were you mistyping your username of password?!?!?!?

If so that would be an ID 10 T error and not PEBKAC ;)
