I'm in game there now, just upgraded from trial to full. If you're there, I'm Kalenved . Shoot me a tell hehe.

Is this game still incredibly hard to get into?

yeah, I've been playing about a year and only barely understand half of it :)

Actually if you try a new character is go through all the tutorials that are available (they were revamped BIG time!), you'll find it much easier to get into.

Go through each of the series of tasks for each of the people in the starting station. During the course of your adventures, you'll aquire new ships and skills, some of which are REALLY expensive to buy out of pocket, but are given to you for free.

When I first started playing this game, I could barely fight. Now I'm mining, manufacturing, fighting, a little bit of PvP, and now into scanning (HARD!).

If you're willing to go through the tutorials, you'll become hooked fairly quickly. Just remember to insure your ships and to make sure your clone covers all your skill points hehe.

For those interested in playing this game, might I STRONGLY suggest that you go through all the tutorial missions. There are six people you can get missions from at your starter base. Do ALL their missions and then proceed on to the Sisters of EvE epic arc. You won't be disappointed. ;)

Also, when you get your feet a little wet, get into an active corp. It helps a great deal and feel free to ask questions, there is very little "OMG! NEWB!" here. In fact people who get on like that often find themselves singled out for some nasty retaliation by the community hehe.

I highly recommend pirate corps, by the way. Blockades are just soooo much fun!

Hehe, when I asked my buddy what the quickest way to make money was, he said "Simple! Cheat and steal!" This game pulls no punches, but allows those who prefer safter gameplay the .5 and above security areas. This isn't a 100% assurance that you won't lose your ship, but take comfort in that there is insurance, and anyone attacking you in .5 or higher space will lose the ship they attacked you in.

Loving this game... Currently flying a Raven(Battleship), Drake(Battle Cruiser), and Moa(Cruiser)!

I joined a corporation and we own a POS in Low Sec! I roam the system solo and pick off people and am having a blast. We do Fleet roams which are fun and scary as shit! We are also going to take down a POS(Player owned structure) of a corporation we currently have a Non Aggression pact with... Oh the awesomeness that is EVE!

This game is HARDCORE!

Which Corp you with Jedd? Gun Metal Grace here. To be honest, it wasn't anything special joining these guys, they approached me. Though I do admit they're pretty good with newbies. Lots of Worm Hole and Mining ops with these guys.

No worries, I'm in Gallente Space playing it safe. Just recently lost a Myrmidon with a cargo hold full of loot. To make it worse, the three bastards podded me, so about 20 million in Augmentations went down the tubes to boot. Over 100 Million ISK later I was back up and running though. Thank God for PLEX!

Ugh! Want to get Large Hybrid Turret Specialization, but to do so, I have to have Small, Medium and Large Hybrid turret to V and Sharpshooter to V. About a month of realtime skill points. =P

What a week on Eve... Had my Drake blown up in a 1v1 encounter against a veteran, and then had a Ferox blown up this morning just hauling some of my salvaged material worth about 5 or 6 million through 1 low sec zone :(

It made me feel better that someone was talking smack to the 5 battleships that killed me... along the lines of.. "WOW... 5 Battleships to kill a Battlecruiser... LOL you guys suck!"

Yep, Low sec is the spot for pirates and scum alike. NEVER expect a fair fight!

Ok, in a new alliance called the Space Monkey Alliance and I now have one main parked in null sec (0.0) space. HOLY CRAP! Lots of risk, but LOTS of cash to be made too!!!

Main reason for this post though...

Check it out! Should even the playing field for new players...

Still playing, though I've switched alliances from Space Monkey Alliance to TEST Please Ignore (I think they're the largest or at least one of the top five largest alliances in game). Had some great fights, lost a few ships, but always came out on top. I think this is the first MMO since EQ that I've ever played where you could solo if you want, but to truly enjoy the experience, you need other players. That being said it is the most exciting PvP I've taken part in and damn, you play for keeps hehe.

If anyone is looking for me in game, Kalenved and Brys Bennedict are my two mains.

Cheers

Binny
