1: &nbsp &nbsp &nbsp &nbsp Charm(15)
2: &nbsp &nbsp &nbsp &nbsp Add Proc: Chaos Epidemic

An unresistable charm that procs itself.

And with the curse counters, it simply can't be cured. You can't de-curse charmed PCs.

I don't even know how you'd stop it from infecting the entire raid. Then, as the charm wore off, the NPCs would eat the players one by one.

If it was truly evil it'd be a short recast, short range AE. As a proc I can think of a half dozen ways to deal with it.

Still, I really like the idea.

Because a charmed PC is not considered "on your team" and beneficial spells won't land.

"Ok, everyone, drop your dex to 1."

However, I think proc buffs don't use dex to determine proc rate (not certain, but vague memories of some parses over at steel warrior).

concidering your turned into a npc, don't you get natural NPC stats? or did they chang this?

The only way I can think is to reduce the MR of the tank (/duel tash, malo), and to recharm him/her with chain charm :)

So the way I read it..
Guy gets charmed, turns on his raid member, procs charm, then the other guy turns on another, procs charm, ect ect...
like a virus.

That's what it sounds like to me... aka "28 Days Later scenerio". I think that idea alone, rocks pretty hard. I'd love to see it in action.

Imagine if you as a PC had this ability tho.... guild wars would own 8*)

Can't charm a player.
Can't charm a pet.

You can mesmerize charmed players though. Or Dispell. Or Root.

Etc.

Neat effect!

Or use our standard method, kill them for being stupid enough to get charmed with the rest of the guild around.

or when a certain rogue gets charmed during cursed, and starts hitting on a certain wizard, and a certain wizard begins to mana burn him

Didn't Nandari do that to Gazamel during a Katta fight, and Gazamel threw an unholy shitfit? :/

Laeyakk

Cute.

Assuming a proc rate of 1/30 seconds, you'll charm between 0.6 and 0.8 other people on average before you break charm.

So, on average, each cast of the spell by an NPC will result in between 2.5 to 5.0 total people charmed, with a high variance. Which is bad, but not a raid-wipe.

If the average proc time drops below the average charm duration (say, they set the charm duration to 5 or 6 ticks, or upped the proc rate so that you proc more often than once every 30 seconds on average), then you get a divergent charm sequence (the charm goes critical, sort of like the reaction in a nuclear bomb).

You can't proc while mezed.

It would be annoying, but if that was the mob's only special ability; it wouldn't be hard at all to deal with consistently since it would only take one mez to hold someone till after the charm broke. In fact, the tank changing would probably be more annoying than dealing with the charms.

*nod*

Toss a +500 MR mod on the charm, and then there'd be chaos (rapture doesn't work on post-L 61 PCs who are charmed).

Palarran

Not if everyone equips a pair of steins, and the mob is killed strictly by spells and archery. :)

Can't proc if you can't swing, right?

Yeah Gaz threatened to deguild haha, and back then we thought it was a big deal, and now both those players are gone and nobody really cares!
