Yeah. The Sim City guy is running it, I think? The videos of it I've seen so far look really neat, but seem like it would get boring fast.

Yeah, Will Wright is doing the developing. With him, even if it seems like a game that wouldn't be that interesting, I remember spending hours upon hours playing Sim City and Sim City 2000. Even though at its heart it was a simple game, something about them made it addictive.

I'd play it, looks pretty cool.

I was impressed by the video, but I think there are almost a little too many things to do...

Well, he was going through stuff pretty quick.. a tour of the game if you will. From the sounds of it, you slowly build up these powers for your UFO so you constantly can do something new. Its not like right when you get your UFO you can fly out to the farthest point and go visiting other civs. I think there still may be purposes in the game all the way to the point where you feel like you've "finished". Also, from the sounds of it, once you reach a certain point on a city / planet / system you can leave it be and it will generate "income" for you. You don't have to worry about managing it unless you want to... or if they start blowing themselves up.

I think this is more along the lines of a long RPG... where its slated to be a 70 hour or 100 hour game and you play it to the end. The end, in this case, being the point where you are all-powerful and feel like you've finished.

Then you can start from scratch... or put it in your pile of "beat it, what's next" games.
