Anyone know how to mount the edb and delete mailboxs so you can use a tool to then extract mailboxes? I have a tool but it only allows 100 mail boxes and i have 168 lol.

I don't really understand the question... you need to delete mailboxes so you can extract? Whaa? Did you run out of space? Is there a particular reason you need to do a per-mailbox backup rather than the entire store?
You can always exmerge individual mailboxes and delete them from the store if space is an issue. What exactly are you trying to accomplish?

Exchange 2003? OUCH ...
Not to derail the thread, but our company moved to Zimbra Network Edition (www.zimbra.com), bought the perpetual license and never looked back. Integrates perfectly with Outlook.

problem is i have exchange db that was dirtyshutdown. I can not remount them in exchange. I need something where i can take a copy of teh database remove 68 users recover 100 then do the same. The problem is exmerge will not work on just an edb file i have power controls but it is limited to 100 mail boxes.

fixed it! I found an old backup of the DC and also the exchange server. I restored them to a couple machines mounted the exchange database i had and was able to make a online backup of the files. I also used the migration wizzard and made pst's just incase. now to import thatinto new server!
