This month the informant traveled with three of the defendants to a Stamford, Connecticut, warehouse, where they collected three bombs packed with plastic explosive and a Stinger guided missile, all of which had been disabled by law- enforcement officials, according to the complaint.
“The bombs had been made by the FBI technicians, they were totally inert, no one was ever at risk or danger of being injured,” Kelly said.

After the "terror bust" in Florida years ago, I'm extremely skeptical of the role the FBI played here. If their informant was the only means by which these people committed the crime ...

It really depends on what can be proven as having been conspired by the suspects. If the original organizing was done by the FBI, then yes the case is tainted. If the FBI infiltrated an existing group and merely facilitated something they were planning to attempt anyway, then the case is righteous and the perps are probably in for some serious time at a federal pound-me-in-the-ass penitentiary.
I think we'll know more as time goes on.

They purchased fake explosive and a fake stinger guided missile from FBI agents whom they thought were members of a terror cell.
There is enough evidence from what I heard today.

I'm not disputing the evidence for the arrests. I'm skeptical that given the FBI's known history of sending provocateurs into groups to incite them to action, while providing the means for making that action practical, whether this is actually so much a sting on terrorists as flushing out some loonies who were no real threat to answer pressure to deliver arrests.

"Round up the usual suspects!" Thank god the FBI and NYPD was there to protect us from (cough) international terrorism...
Because, it couldn't have *anything* to do with the fact that Congress is starting to look under rocks on the torture issue, people are unhappy with Obama's decision to leave Gitmo open and use military tribunals, and Pelosi stood up to the trumped up crusade intended to undermine her authority to act... "Oh look, terrorists!"
Clearly with such dangerous people around we need those institutions to keep us safe...
"Have you heard the news? The dogs are dead!
You'd better stay home and do as you're told/
Get out of the road if you want to grow old..."
