This is my major beef with modern society, people like this would have never survived childhood and grown up to arrest kids for fictional stories. Fuckin A, we better go shoot all the people who made Resident Evil, God knows they must be terrorists too.

You'd think by now people would learn to not mention school or the president in any sort of freeform violent literture. The police are always bored and looking for some teenager to kick the shit out of.

There's probably more to the story, but I doubt anybody will care enough to follow up.

It will be interesting once the story is in court and read in context.

Here's the questions I have:

What were they doing searching his room? They had to have had probable cause or a warrant. If they had probable cause, this kid was doin' more than writing zombie stories.

If school officials gave the police probable cause...did they read the story...consult the teacher that gave the assignment? If they didn't they are idiots and soon to be idiots without jobs. The kids explaination doesn't make sense.....police don't just barge into your home on a rumor you wrote a story about shooting up a school, there has to be more to this incident. My feeling is he has a history of violence or edge behavior in school.

A little more info I found:

"The arrest came after a tip from a family member that Pool was trying to "recruit a gang to take over the school," Detective Berl Perdue said. "He didn't have a gang, but he was attempting to organize one," Perdue said.

Police said writings in which Poole tried to persuade other students to take part in the takeover were found.

"We don't know who's included in this," George Rogers Clark Principal John Atkins said. "That's what we're working on, to see if there were other individuals involved. ... We're not sure that there are.""
