I just wanted to share for the rest of the senior citizens that there is a new DVD release available for rent, titled FESTIVAL EXPRESS, that showcases some of the best entertainers of the "hippie" era, on 2 discs.
The Band, the Grateful Dead, Janis Joplin, Sha Na Na, and a bunch of other folks on a customized train in 1970 traveling from Toronto to Winipeg to Calgary and having concerts at each stop, and having fun in between, and all captured on film. The rehearsing/jamming alone is priceless.
A big hats off to getting such an adventure on film, considering the technology available in 1970. Several of these folks have died, and being able to see them all together at their peak like this is a great treat.
