For some strange reason, as of the last 24-48 hours, I am having to log in each time I visit the forums, which I have not had to do for the last five years at least. And just now, after logging in, and typing a reply to a thread, I again got the unregistered user box, and had to hit the log in button again.

Any ideas on why this suddenly occurred?


My Trend Spyware and anti-virus stuff both have done sweeps in this time period as well, so I am not thinking it is anything like that. Anyone else experiencing this?

You've probably got ayonae.ro bookmarked and it's redirecting you to ayonae.com, and your browser either a) isn't keeping the authentication cookie or b) deciding that is an unsafe action and not handing it over.

I don't think it should do it anymore. I was trying to simultaneously support logins on both ayonae.ro and ayonae.com, but it just won't work very well due to how browsers handle cookie security.

I set it to rewrite any .ro URL to .com last night, which should prevent that from being a problem anymore.

If it keeps happening, let me know and I'll check it out.

yeah my cookie keeps timing out on me - but im too lazy to clear them, close all my browsers and actually give it a fresh spin :p

I was having this same problem but what Sanchek did fixed it for me. What you should do is make your favorites URL the ayonae.com one and just stop using the .ro one.

I was indeed still using the old bookmark, and have now deleted it, and marked the new, and checked the remember me box again, and all is right with my little corner of the world again.

Hehe reminds me everytime Ilganor (our fuzzy ball of gnomish love lotj admin) posts about updates and new version for the forum, and we all go "ooooooh" and "aaaaaah" about the fact that the forum will be down for 10 unbearable minutes!!! :D
