I was just wondering how many of you guys and gals on here were in or are in a fraternity or sorority, and which ones =) would be cool to find a brother or sister on the board.

I am thoroughly ashamed to admit that I was not only in a national sorority in college, but was Song Chairman for a year (fortunately, I redeemed myself by getting thrown out, perhaps I'll tell that story sometime ;) ). I wish I could say that I had a positive opinion of the fraternity/sorority system, but as I don't want to get in a flame fest with someone who obviously *does* have one, I think I'll stop here :) ...

Sororities did a good job of concentrating targets for us GDI's.

I was in Whappa Slappa Kappa.

Seriously, the fraternity scene varies greatly from school to school. I never would have joined one at my school (SUNY Albany) but might have joined on at one of the schools I could not afford to attend.

It does vary a lot.
90% of mine was made up of people who were convinced they'd never, ever join a fraternity, at least partly because of the stereotypes.

I go to kansas state, and fraternities are a huge thing up here, so I was just curious, kinda intresting to see different opinions and reactions. Most fraternities dont fit the stereotype.
