As much as I dont understand the attraction, one of my family members has requested that I obtain for them a legit, non spam, non sign up, non spyware infested slot machine simulator. The more bells, whistles and variations of game play the better.
Doing a cursory search on yahoo leads me to believe that the vast majority are spybot slime infested, mafia cabal backed fronts for shady casino types that will hunt you down and steal your lunch money.
Any input into one that is 'clean', for XP or directly playable via java/whatever, would be appreciated.

If you can't find something on the net, you can probably go to a Target or Walmart (anywhere cheap, not a computer store. Well, then again, there's crap like that at the CompUSA checkout counter) and buy a CD of games that will have something like this.

www.wizardofodds.com (http://www.wizardofodds.com) has several java versions of most casino games, including two slots.
If you care about your slot loving friend, I suggest you get the REAL IGT slots package. All of their actual casino games in home-playable glory.
Even I enjoy a nice break from reality with some 50-play dueces-wild video poker.

Hmmm, is that wizard of odds particular about its java implementation? I get a big X where all the games should be.
I'm also uncertain what you mean by real IGT.
Thanks,
Kad

Kadath, of the commercial programs out there, one is made using the "real" IGT games. If you go to a casino, you'll find that basically, slot makes (the good ones) are made by two companies. Bally and IGT.
IGT makes slot machines like "Haywire" and the "Double Diamond" lines.
I only have thr IGT disc (which includes ALL of their Slots, Video Poker, Blackjack and Spanish 21 -- with "perfect play" tutors) as "warez," but if you wanna send me a SASE, I'll gladly burn you one.
If you like "real" slots, it's better than say, Hoyle 2004.

Oh, I see what you mean Pali, thanks, will check that out, and the simslots one too, thanks! Personally I stick to Holdem, but I've played only one slot that I enjoyed, 'Monopoly once around' and have no idea who makes it or the other real slot machines.
