The Kings should be grateful for the easy entry into the playoffs. Everyone wants to play a team that doesn't play defense.

I stand by my early season statement.

Pacers.....

Buyza

4 points, yah....a win is a win in playoffs. Plus they won by 11 the first game. Hey look at lakers, only beat houston by 1. Pacers are good, but I still got my money on detroit to win the east just the way they been playing lately. Oh and mavericks may not be great defensivley but they are second highest scoring team in the league so that does count for something.

P.S blazemas, you are a fucking queer.

Been hearing that exact statement for 4 years....

I think Buyzacock is just mad that the Mavs kicked the Kings out of the playoffs last year.

Buyza

I think your probably some faggot lakers fan. Yah they did knock kings out when their star player got injured.

Fandros
04-24-2004, 09:52 PM
When yer out yer out, excuses matter not.

Ask the Lakers who won't make it past round 2 this year.

Ask whoever faces the Pacers in the finals how it feels to get knocked out.

Fandros

Buyza

I wouldnt even put pacers to be nets but we will see. Any west team lakers, mavs, kings, spurs, twolves would rock pacers in finals.

Tibbert
04-25-2004, 12:50 AM
The Pacers are the best in the east, but would get beat by any of the top seeds in the west. The only reason Pacers had the best record was because they took advantage of the weaker eastern teams.

And no buyza im not a Lakers fan.....but then again you hate every team that beats the Kings, so I guess you hate all the top teams.

If the Lakers didn't have Shaq / Malone / Kobe injured for the middle part of the season I think they would have the best record and be a much better team atm though.

Personally I think Spurs are gonna win it all again, they are awesome defensively and are on a nice streak atm.

And Buyza don't give me that shit that Webber got injured blah blah blah, the Kings were doing much better without him all year long.

Sorry Kidlets but it's obvious you've not payed attention to this last season.

Pacers had a .723 win percentage vs the West. This includes splitting with all the big boys in the West play offs this year.

Quit listening to the weak hackneed no talent radio voices eh? Grow a set of yer own opions and read a lil....

Pacers have more depth, better defense than all but one of the West and flat out outplay anyone.

Oh and the Nets? Christ Weolf last week you were claiming the Pistons would beat the pacers. Have you watched the Pistons series? They have no offense.....and did yer team win...last night???? /chuckle no defense there either.

Fandros

Buyza
04-25-2004, 05:35 PM
I still think the pistons can win the east, but I also think the nets can beat the pacers. You are also comparing pacers in the regular season to playoffs, they have 0 chance against any team in the west. Playoffs are much dfferent than regular season. By the way, nuggets beat twolves lol. Oh and tibbert who is the team you like? Spurs? just curious cause you give a lot of opinions. Oh and webber did make a difference last season, he was playing MUCH better then. His first games this season after being out over 50 games were shitty (not that I did not expect that) but they are getting better. He got a triple double in pretty much the first half of the second dallas game...decent?

Tibbert
04-25-2004, 06:20 PM
If the Kings knew what was good for em they would trade Webber for someone more useful, they had the best Record in the NBA for a while and then Webber came back and you guys got fucked down to 4th place in the west.

Im a Rockets Fan, but I can accept they most likely won't get past the 1st round, but next year when Yao is more experienced I think they will be a much better team, Francis and Mobley are awesome, but atm I think they Lakers just have a better team =(

Buyza
04-25-2004, 07:35 PM
Yah I agree I they were playing better without webber this season, but thats what happens when a player gets injured and comes back like 50 games into the season, they suck and can not play as well with the team as the ycould before. You can not blame the team for not giving up on him though. So far in playoffs hes doing pretty well, though they could have really used a first place seed, at least they are not stuck facing the spurs next assuming they beat the mavs. I just hope nuggets beat twolves so I can laugh once again that twolves have never won a first round.

depends on how well kidd leads the nets. Guy deserves MVP in so many ways.

But ya artest and the pacers have been hot long as you can control artest pacers have a good go soon as he starts to crumble kiss that team goodbye.

Are you saying basketball is more interesting then hockey? O_o Basketball bores me to tears except for the last 2 or 3 min.

In hockey, at least it means something when someone scores. And I guess hockey has the violence during the game. Rather then basketball, where the violence is when the players go and rape people after the game. Or choke their own coach.

In the U.S.A. at least, hockey is the only major sport with any real 'mystique' left.

And I repeat, gooooooo lightning!

No more than any other sport Fanny. Hell, babseball has more bench clearing brawls than hockey.
Hockey is a game of passion and intensity. The goals are fewer so when you get one its exciting.
In no othe rsport will you find a blend of Grace, skill, athleticism, strength and yes violence. Most people don't understand the rules and the make up of hockey so they dismiss it. If you took the time to watch the game and understand it, I think you'd come to love it.
oh, and soccer is about freakin boring and not even close to hockey.

basketball owns your fucking life, alright? And don't you forget it :) Nothing better than that last 30 second possesion when a team is down by 2 and the game is on the line. I agree each goal is exciting in hockey I guess but that does not allow the seperation of skilled players to unskilled players as great as it does in basketball. Either you score 1 goal or not heh. In basketball you can pour in 50 pts opposed to someone who sucks that puts up 5 points. Just my opinion.

Basketball>Hockey? You are fucking kidding me. Basketball is nothing more then a bunch of ghetto boys trying to dunk and talk shit. Basketball died the day Bird retired. Hockey, on the other hand takes more conditioning and skill then any basketball player could ever dream of. Yes I played hockey as well. Played a couple years of Junior A in Kalamazoo and British Columbia. Good times.

i don't really like hockey that much, i did take the time to understand it and learn some of the terminology since i had 2 friends playing hockey alot ... i had about 30 friends playing basketball, and basketball is a sport id rather play myself then watch

it is boring as hell to watch, its like surfing, love to surf, hate to watch it, honestly don't see whats so griping about watching basketball, just seems like alot of big numbers fascinate people

what is a sport?

an event where people pay to view, or sit down and watch it? i dunno how to classify it, but damnit, racing is a sport

and yea, its so much fun watching a bunch of tall goofy people running back and forth on a wooden field, slaping each other

"The cars are bright, marked with logos and easily identifiable and the drivers are so accessible - people can relate to them."
At least part of the attraction is the off-chance of witnessing a massive multi-car wreck at 200 mph.
Reading this, I'm wondering if it's a good thing about mass mentality that nascar is becoming popular...
Identifying to 200mph drivers ("Look honey, our civic could *do* that!") and watching the race in hope of car's crash...
Yay my audience is dumb.

And just remember one thing :
Soccer (true football you usmongers) > all > halfling druids.

The fights on the ice in hockey screw it up. Fight on the football field or even basketball is huge news with serious fines even possible arrests but in hockey it is not..other than the recent brutal attack resulting in a broken neck. Once that shit stops then Ill start ranking it as a spot worthy of watching. Soccer seems to be catching on in popularity but a problem with it in the US is at the highschool level at least in Wisconsin. They run highschool soccer during the fall which is also Football season. Probably have better, stronger soccer turn outs than you already do if they run the season in the spring but then again you are tapping into the baseball/track recruits. Nascar /yawn...if your stinking rich and have a sponsor you can race. Money cant buy you talent enough to make a spot on the NFL/NHL/NBA in most situations.

>("Look honey, our civic could *do* that!")

yea, if you spent 300 million dollars in modding the civic, dropping an engine that costs over 550,000 dollars into it, extending the chasis so it doesn't break itself, and put in such low gearing the car wouldn't be able to go up hill and get a whole 5mpg

people aren't dumb, they aren't getting a "need for speed" by watching it, they want to race, but i'm fairly sure 99.99999% of the watchers are competent enough to know that their car cannot do what these cars can and are not getting the feeling to act like roby gordon on the road

Anterak

*We* agree Gokuu, but this Nascar guy thinks that "People can relate to them(nascar drivers)". Hence the "my audience is dumb."
Mecanic sport fans aren't "need for speed" blood thirsty addicts, and yet he's explaining nascar rising with those reasons...

Absurd. Sure you can grab a car if you have the bucks but you will not have talent. These guys that drive in the now NEXTEL Cup have YEARS AND YEARS of practice in other cuircuts. Also have you ever seen a fat driver? Those guys are on year around physical fitness programs too. You try slinging a 3500lbs car around tracks at 200mph at those close of quarters and see how in shape you are. They also do road courses ya know.

i think i miss understood you, and now i dn't know why i posted that =/

but anyway if nascar is gay, then i guess the majority of people who watch sports like a gay sport then, so if its gay and more popular then basketball, does that mean basketball is extremely gay?

The fights on the ice in hockey screw it up

Fighting is a necassary evil. It helps to protect the smaller more talented guys so they aren't getting run all the time by the bigger guys with less skill.
Fighting has dropped quite a bit over the last couple years and not coincidentally, incidents of nastiness with sticks and cheep shots are up.
Fighting also can turn the tide of a game, too. If a team is losng one of their fighters goes out and jaws at a fighter from the other team. They agree to fight, the adrenaline picks up and the game picks up.

As far as Nascar goes, I like the crashes and Dick Trickle is the man. :D
