Futurama is being picked up for 26 episodes starting in 2010. It has been off the air since 2003. Oh happy day!

Any idea if it continues right where it left off (with same characters) or begins some other story arc?

Not sure on the arc but same story and talent.

Just last year they had 4 movies that Comedy Central also aired in episodic format. Guess they were testing the water. Glad to hear its back for another season.
