Aye, tis indeed sad. even if you never played D&D this man had a tremendous impact on all of our live's. he was a shining example of how a simple man, with a simple idea can change the world. would a game like EQ have ever been created if it wasnt for this guy? He helped supercharge the fastasy genre. hell Velvetsilence was an attempt to recreate my favorite and most badassed D&D character. well I tried an DE SK first but got tired of "LFG......*chirp*".

Yeah, a sad day indeed. I hope that he is in the Seven Heavens, or Nirvana.

This was a very sad day, was a rather devastating blow for me when I heard about it. That man commanded a massive force in the fantasy world, he really did supercharge the genre and his influence left a lasting impression on writers, gamers and many more. He'll be missed. =(

EQ will be a example of the many games that will be based on the D & D genre I am sure. His legacy will live on.
