I know these schools can be training grounds for terrorists, but, do you risk inciting more people to violence by this kind of action? Do you risk distablizing Pakistan by this kind of action (especially considering their nuclear capabilities)?

The sad part is the kids were probably innocent.
The tactic for many of the terrorists is to surround themselves with innocents, and when they are conventionally attacked, claim outrage at the loss of innocent lives.
Seems to be working, unfortunately....

Killing innocents to send a message and net some bodies? Not a good move I think, based on the information presented.

From what I can gather it's a radical islamic school...of which there are many in Pakistan. So, although the chidren themselves are innocent, the school is a training center for radical militants. I'm not justifying the attack, just clarifying.

What is scary to me is that Musharraf would do this with precarious situation he is in in that country. A destabilized Pakistan is just plain scary. If he loses power, think Iran with Nukes and missiles to deilver them.

Well...the original question is hard to answer. Historically doing what was done will usually result in "Blow Back" not very good for our intended result.
