Lol, whats up man? Yeah im back playing again. I re-activated about 3 months ago now or so I guess. Im over on The Nameless server now, still beatin ass like I used to - but seeing these familiar names and faces makes me miss my old ARo home :cool:

I have met a lot of cool people over there tho since Ive come back - EQ is like a completely different game now. Its a trip.

Im trying to stay "casual" this time around. Im only raiding 2 nights a week so far, and I intend to keep it that way. I cant be a hardcore player again thats for sure.

lol, I hear ya fanny - I've been havin a blast since I re-activated. The attitudes from the people Ive come across in game are totally different than the old-school EQ attitudes. Its like a breath of fresh air.

So EW folded eh? I never heard, but then again I wasn't listening either lol. Whos running things over there these days?

We are (Rest in Peace). :) And I've been the leader of RiP for the last 3 years.

The other high end raid guilds on Ayonae Ro (EW, IvM, SoT, CB) all folded within a year or so of each other, shortly before the server merge. We picked up a number of good people from each of those guilds, though.

Our "competition" (used loosely since nearly all modern raid content is instanced, so there is very little direct competition) is primarily Sol Invictus and The Elitists. Until recently there was also an Australian guild, Aurora Noctum, but I think most of them jumped to the European server.

As a server The Tribunal is a bit behind; Taleren is on Maelin now, and he is working on the end content for the latest expansion, which we won't see for another 4 months or so (although we did get to see some of it in Beta last year).

awesome - good for you guys. I wish I was back on ARo to help you guys out some. Seeing all the familiar faces on this board make me miss my old home; but definitely not the hardcore unfriendly competition that used to take place back in the day. Its good to hear that with instanced content things are much better in that regard. Perhaps if it were that way a long time ago, we would still see a lot of older players still active.

It wasnt the game that wore me out - it was the competition which made EQ feel like a 2nd job and how much effort it took to "remain on top" that drained me. It just took far too much of my attention away from real life and the rest of the priorities that should take precedent. Now im forcing myself to stay casual, and perhaps being on a server where I dont know many people is helping me pull that off. Im just thankful that EQ is fun again for me - however it would damn sure be nice to group with some of my old EQ friends again. :cool:

This time around I played a rogue. Needless to say, after the main guild I was in folded, around august of last year I stopped playing again.

We were in DoDH at that point, and I was lvl 70 with 720'ish aa's.
