I hate the general message behind the game, or perceived message as you will, but I can't deny that the gameplay in this series has been fairly stellar.

The game promotes entrepreneurship, individualism, and freedom to express ones self. This supports self actualization.

I don't see how this can be a bad message or perceived (??:confused:) message. :confused:

So does real life (in the US), but you don't see [most of] us running around NY fighting in the streets, blowing up whatever we want, killing whoever we want etc.

I understand the appeal of the game though. While its not for me, I am not going to look down on anyone who plays it. I'm sure its fun if thats what you enjoy.

Just don't try to candy coat it. Its a game that revels in violence. Sex and violence are the major selling points of the game. Now, I'm no prude, but when I escape into a game, thats not really what I'm looking for.

Game of the year for sure. Best game on this current generation of consoles isn't a stretch either.

Yeah... I kinda figured he might be. The sad truth is that there are some that do try to sell the game as something other than what it is, which perturbs me, so I just used his post as a reason to rant ; p.

I do like the fact that Rockstar actually sells it as what it is. The thing is, other than the fact that the game content doesn't appeal to me, I think the biggest reason I don't have a huge interest in it is that I have the same problem as Tycho from Penny Arcade:

Probably will pick it up later on. $60 for a game just doesn't appeal to me, hell thats like 4-5 hours of gas to rip around the lake in the boat.

It's too bad this didn't release with the PC as well. I hear it will be at least October before it is out for it. Supposedly the new multiplayer mode is worth a whole game itself.
