I just recently did a system restore on my PC, and since then, I've got the dreaded "white ears" type texture errors in game. I downloaded DirectX 9, drivers for my card, and even reinstalled EQ, but no to avail. The knowledge base suggests deleting all *.txt files in one entry (which are text files) and in another suggests deleting all *.txc files. Any suggestions?

*.txc files are the texture files for eq. *.txt are just text files

I figured that, but doing a search for *.txc returns nothing...

Did the restore drop your DX version down to a previous one? Make sure you've got the latest.

It's the latestDX from the DX website.

Did you delete and reload your Video drivers after you loaded DX ? That is an issue on some systems.. Also, may have to load DX a couple times to get it to take fully.
