No one knows which is obviously part of the problem. Like I said, 170ish fatalities in Mexico. Normally with Influenza its a 1:1000 fatality rate domestically to maybe 5% in lesser developed countries. So far only ~2500 reported cases in Mexico but there .

I understand that, Kel. I was asking in response to San because he seems to want to argue about this as well as any other topic, even though I stated that I am not discounting the severity, but only questioning the way the media is driving the panic.

And of course, that allows San to jump up and show how he is better informed about the issue, like any other topic.

It's amazing how one can sound like an expert in anything with Google.

If by Google, you mean paying even the slightest attention to the world around you instead of sleeping your brain in front of the picture box.

Only in America, and only now, would anyone be insipid/vapid enough to disdain knowledge.

What makes you think I'm disdaining knowledge? I'm disdaining the appearance of a level of expertise, that is in quite a few cases, just not there, it makes a discussion disingenuous at the least.

It's odd that you feel so threatened by this. I'm no where near an expert on the flu, and never have claimed to be. You're arguing against a non-existent issue.

I have read about the Spanish Flu and how it began though, hence my relevant and accurate comment about the number of cases in the early stages of it.

ha...I don't feel threatened...I get a kick out of the "google experts" shameless to the point of being ridiculous.

It's easy to tell when you're getting worked up, by the posts filled with ellipses.

And the more riled up you get, the more non-subject related your replies become.

Very easy to spot.

Interestingly enough, I did just eat one of those organic blueberry waffles.

I should charge for that.

It wouldn't surprise anyone if you started putting a tax on the forum for your own ends. Goes with the whole Megalomaniac deal.

Only if you'll be my spokesmodel on the late-night infomercial for it.

I'm sorry - I don't represent empty, unpopular products, whose sale-by-date came and went long ago.

Funny. You got mad when I pointed that out previously.

Isn't this the point where you talk about your muffins?

Sanchek
05-02-2009, 04:43 PM
Looks like you beat me to it?

Haloface
05-02-2009, 07:15 PM
Oh no, mate, I think you've been talking a load of fucking muffins for a while now.

Sanchek

Curious. Are muffins and waffles the same thing over there?

Haloface
05-03-2009, 03:51 AM
Not sure. Muffins are like, err, cup-cakes? And waffles are those things with squares in 'em, right?

Not a muffin/waffle fan.

Sanchek

I don't like muffins either.

Waffles are totally different animals.

Yowser, the waffle gag is becoming as worn out as your stay around here.
