Seems to me I recall far too many of you deciding on their guilt back in December.
Not only innocent but the prosecution lambasted for a hour by the judge.
Fuck Murtha's public lynching of these guys, and I hope those that support this senile prick see him for what he is.
A politician who has forgotten his service to the country as a Marine.

Ummm ... reread that article. Dropped charges don't mean innocence.

Means exactly what it means...
They are not guilty of the charges.

I'm not familiar with the developments in the case since the big bruhaha, but
Only one marine - Sgt Frank Wuterich - still faces charges in relation to the incident.
Sgt Wuterich will be tried on nine counts of voluntary manslaughter later this year.
doesn't fill me with large amounts of confidence that this isn't another Abu Graib scenario of a few nobodies taking the fall for serious command-level enculturation problems that are being swept under the rug.

Much as I hate to say it, I have lost all faith in there being any above-board investigations anymore due to the culture established by the Bush-Cheney-Rumsfeld regime. So, this judge's decision only tells me that based on the information he has been given (or allowed to access) he has little choice under the law than to find as he has.
We have seen too many instances of behavior from our "enemies" that can only be described as primitively barbaric, and that coupled with the intense levels of stress our troops face has likely led to many more occasions of what could be termed criminal action, but we will never hear of them. Lt. Calley (sp) of the My Lai incident is still highly regarded by some elements of our society, and never saw any serious punishment for his "crimes".
When the people in charge of the country and military forces authorize the same behavior, and use the Justice Department to draft legal loop-holes supporting it, as was used by Milosevic and for which we are partner to his prosecution for said behavior, you have to wonder where and when this country took such a drastic turn south. We have abandoned the principles that set us apart, and have become no better than the terrorists that attacked us; so, why should we expect realistic investigation and punishment for those furthering the policies of those leaders.

In the annals of strange but true....
Wuterich is from my hometown.. he graduated from the rival school on the west side, but if its one thing us Meriden boys know, its how to machine gun down a bunch of people.
I blame this entire incident on the Arcade at Burger King on East Main Street which featured several very violent video games, one in particular which featured a shotgun and hordes of zombies.
Obviously, Frank is suffering from PTSD from his childhood in the 'Den. Obviously he flashed back to his days in the Jesters Courtyard with a handful of tokens, riding high off a Vanilla Shake buzz.
also
Meriden is known as the home of the first steamed cheeseburger, which remains a popular local favorite to this day.
Might have been in withdrawl
