I loved the movie, Will Smith actually cusses too i zomg'd a couple times.
The previews were so well done. The story the previews/trailer give you is the first 30min of the movie there is a whole other story line not even touched upon, with an actress i dont recall ever seeing in a trailer
the dual superpowered people thing was really cool. He had the eagle symbol a lot, which was Zeus, and Hera was a crazy bitch so i wonder if maybe thats what they were going for?? I did love the cheesy scene were he is mustering everything he can to get away from her to save her life, i love those moments

I have been looking forward to this one, but its gotten trashed in the reviews and I'm kinda a movie snob. Gonna go tomorrow, hoping to disagree with the critics.

It's a popcorn movie. Guilty pleasure for movie snobs.
The two problems are (I'll try and give em without spoiling)
The twist lacks a plant (in the movie logic sense of plant/payoff), and the explanation and implementation of the movies alternate reality seemed more to follow the needs of the plot rather than the plot have to live within the confines of the alternate reality.
Basically, the premise rocks, the actors rock, the plot is adequate, but the alternate reality sucks.
Mostly, Iron Man and The Incredible Hulk were just so much better is all.

To be honest, I'm getting tired of the endless stream of super-hero movies.
The only one with real substance is the new Batman. Other than that they're becoming thoroghly worn forumlas.

Halo i couldn't disagree with you more.
If you look at the old super-hero movies like the original Flash, Captain America, Nick Fury:Agent of SHIELD, they were really cheesy and lame.
With the success of X-Men then Spiderman they sotries had to actually have something to them. IMO the Spiderman movies (barring the 3rd which i think they tried to do too much) they wre REALLY good act capturing the medium.
Iron Man was EXCELLENT it had a great story and they captured the chracter of Tony Stark perfectly.
In the end i have heard similar comments about Batman that you mentioned but I think that is because Batman is a dark hero, who even the movies dont quite have right

Wolverine is the ultimate dark hero. They should consider a feature length movie focusing on him. As for Hancock, I hope to see it soon, as well as the new Dark Knight.
I saw Hulk this past weekend, and I throughly enjoyed it. Much better than the last one.
Iron Man kicked major ass, and Tony Stark's cameo at the end of Hulk was brilliant, and a good lead up to the next hero movie.
Is that gonna be Thor, or Captain America?

Its already been released Thor will be introduced in Iron Man 2, then the Thor movie, then Captain America movie (Mathew McConahey tentative role) then the Avengers movie starring the same actors from all the previous movies.
Please note Thor is Ultimates Thor so he isnt going to be the THoust Feel my DEvine Wrath guy.

I can't wait for a Wolverine movie. He was by far my favorite 'superhero' when I was growing up. The Weapon X story was great.
