Happiness is.....my bootleg set of the complete series season 1-5 of Ally McBeal that arrived, and checked out for all 30 dvd discs to be in perfect working condition.

Due to all the licensing headaches of trying to get this released as a box set in the US. it has only been available in Europe and China, apparently. There are so many musical talents and varied actors as guests trying to get everyone to sign off is like trying to get all the Mullahs in the Middle East to give the same set of prayers on a given day.

Going through the set, I saw how many talents I had forgotten were even involved, such as James Marsden (Spike from Buffy) playing an attorney in the final season; or Hayden Panetierre (sp) (Heroes) as Ally's daughter in the final season.

I hate buying bootleg, but this quirky, whimsical character had me hooked from season 1, and the cameos of talents like Barry White, Al Green, Sting, Josh Groban (actually pretty much his debut), Betty White, Christina Ricci, Heather Locklear, Orson bean, Melanie Chartoff, Bruce Willis, etc etc etc, just kept me hooked into the ongoing dramas. Not to mention, the ensemble cast was full of some extremely talented people.

There are not that many quality TV shows left, with all the reality crap, so getting to watch some of my favorite programming is a huge plus.

Yes, happiness is being able to watch again television that made you smile, sigh, shed an occasional tear, laugh, and feel good about something for an hour.
Too bad there is so little of that on the tube anymore.

I just finished season 4 of scrubs. I totally love this show for the same reasons.

I do love that show as well! I always watch the Scrubs rerun no matter how many times I have seen it between local news (6:00 cst) and the Daily Show (7:00 cst). Another great ensemble, where each can carry a story for the full episode

Scrubs, 2 1/2 men and How I met your Mother are all great and rarely missed in my household as well.

Byl, you sure it isn't her micro miniskirt that "had you hooked from season one"?

I always remember it as the launching point for Lucy Liu.....:p
