that leaves me speechless..

Ditto! (almost)

It makes it hard to believe there can ever be equality in this country, or anywhere else, for that matter, with these kind of folks around.

"I'm going to give them, give them my opinion just like any, any parent would." - I thought that part was funny. Normally a reporter would have taken the liberty to clean up stumbles like that in print. But it seems the reporter and editor have no problem letting the world know what an inbred piece of trash their mom is.

Personally Kel, I think they let that through on purpose. Let the stupid people shoot themselves in the foot.

Wow, hmm... maybe all who disagree with the hate should just ask the government to increase the taxes and get these people their own island or state or something and lock 'em all in there. Hell I'd take a smaller paycheck/tax return to make that happen.

I saw a bit this weekend on this lovely duo. Their family left Bakersfield, CA because it wasn't white enough for them. The mind boggles.

My hope is that they get arrested for any sort of reason and get to spend a little time sharing their views in prison. That's a pay-per-view I'd shell out a some dollars for.

Honestly, I suspect they will get shot soon at one of their "concerts". It's a shame, those parents are basketcases. But such ignorance is something only proper education can help fight, and in this case, it's just not going to happen.

The most chilling quote in the entire article...

"Eleven and 12 years old," he said, "I think that's the perfect age to start grooming kids and instill in them a strong racial identity."

What is the difference between white nationalism and black or any other race nationalism? People who are heterosexual/male/white are always looked in a different way than minorities when they have pride in what they are. I'm in no way racist, and i honestly don't see what's really wrong in what they do, unless they send messages of hate about other races in their songs.

(Didn't watch the video and i don't even know them, i only assumed what i understood about the article, so please forgive me if im off the track on this)

Pre-Teen white supremacist folk group... didn't Saturday Night Live have a skit about this not too long ago? ;)

Seriously though... that's just wrong.

Meh, its just more crazys singing white-power music, thats always been around. Though I've never seen it with 2 preteen girls like that. I'm quite sure it will sound silly as hell when they sing it to anyone thats not crazy by them. At least all the hilariously bad Nazi hard rock groups out there can sorta fit the mood of their shitty music.

Free speech means society's trash gets to talk freely also.

Haha yeah, if Bakersfield isn't white enough for them, where'd they go? This is my favorite quote, though:

In addition, April's father surrounds the family with symbols of his beliefs — specifically the Nazi swastika. It appears on his belt buckle, on the side of his pick-up truck and he's even registered it as his cattle brand with the Bureau of Livestock Identification.

Why does that sound like it'd make a good country song?

Right after you'll find my fav :
"Because it's provocative," explains April of the cattle brand, "to him he thinks it's important as a symbol of freedom of speech that he can use it as his cattle brand."Because it's provocative!!! Riiiiiight.
+1 Giena on this. :)

It is provocative tho Ant. I makes me want to walk up and slap him. He seriously cannot expect those symbols to do anything except raise anger and dislike towards him. Yet it gets him attention, which is what he wants.

But you forget Gae, it's only newsworthy if it's a white exuding hate. Other ethnicities can harbor these ill wills because of years of persecution at the hand of the white man. Non whites can have their ethnic cultural centers, non white exclusionary ethnic clubs, etc. Until every race has to be held accountable for their actions, the United States will never be rid of racism. It's always reported as whites hating whatever other race/social group, and never when the opposite happens. There will always be a certain amount of any group that wishes to preserve their culture, nationalism, pureness, however you want to call it from either side. It's only viewed as evil when the white man says it. As long as this keeps happening, you will keep having fringe white groups pop up. When they feel they aren't being treated fairly, when they feel their rights are being infringed upon, etc.

Ignorance knows no color/race/religion. Humans seem to be by nature ignorant beings.

Ok, Gae, that is one seriously screwed up gentleman.

I'm not clear on how the college could have allowed such a presentation. Yes, differing viewpoints and ideas are part of any curriculum to promote discussion and debate, but to allow someone to present such a bizarre incitement to violence cloaked in a college lecture crosses all boundaries.

I bet they would never consider for a moment giving that same podium to a speaker who was going to espouse a similar rationale for killing all those who practice Islam.

Better to keep your mouth closed and be thought a fool than to open it and remove all doubt.

I am just glad I live in a country where people have the right to express their opinions and prove their idiocy. Not some backwater craphole where people have to keep their opinions to themselves. It's so much easier to know who the morons are this way.

Ignorance knows no color/race/religion. .

I normally say "Assholes come in all races, creeds, colors, religions, sexual preferences, genders etc..." but yours works too ;)

The local news (http://www.wral.com/news/5156689/detail.html) did report on that nutcase, btw, and NC State naturally repudiated his remarks, as did a speaker and organizer at the conference where they were made.
