so i went from my 40GB HDD to a 250GB HDD, my question how do i make the 250GB my main one without having to install everything all over again? I was told imaging but im a cheap bastard who doesnt want to have to buy a program to do that.

your "main one"? dont really know what you mean, do you want to use the 250gb one as system drive or what?

yes i want to use the 250 as a system drive and ultimately remove the 40gb out of the picture.

Go into your bio and set up your boot sequence if I recall properly.

Isn't it conceivably faster to run programs off a hard drive that is not the same as your operating system, assuming the hard drives are of comparable speed? If nothing else, it makes cleaning up old files much easier, since you can wipe the hard drives independently.

or you could, you know, use partitions.
