I work for the state(colorado). Our health insurance is not subsidized near as much as civilian companies. So conversly our rates are out the fucking door. mine will be going up 120%. needles to say i'll be pciking up the cheapest shit i can find. but since i work in a dangerous environment i should have some kind of insurance. Mazri works for his state if I'm not mistaken. I'm sure he can concure on how LITTLE state budgets subsidize health care.

Yeah maybe in Canada we get really cheap healthcare, but just check the taxes they put in Quebec... We got one of the highest tax rate in the world. Nothing is free. What we save on healthcare, we pay it on taxes.

I'd have to say in a general way, yes they do.

Depending on your income and other factors, you can expect to pay betwen 40-60% in Canada.

Compared to the US I gotta say your getting a much better value per dollar spent to government then here though.
