Hi guys,

I promise this is my last "need help" post for a good while.

I got the new PC last week and it is flying. I loves it.

Now on to more pressing issues....

I need some guidance, or at least some input on what types of LOW COST to FREE security measures I can install on my PC.

Right now I am using F-PROT for my virus detection software.

I went to download Adaware yesterday only to find out that it now costs $$ to use this product.

I have been happy with F-PROT over the last year, I will probably keep it on the new system. I just need some help filling up some of the other security gaps on me PC.

Thanks in advance.

Cheers,

fildien

You downloaded the wrong version of Adaware or they have changed since I downloaded it a couple of weeks ago.

As for low cost... AVG is a free anti-virus program. I haven't used it but have heard from friends who like it. I use CA's eTrust Internet Security Suite stuff just b/c I get it cheaply. I do know there are offers out there that let you get it for $20 or so for a year.

The MS Antispyware thing is better these days anyway, I think.
